Sermon Part 9: “Set Your House in Order and Keep it that Way, and Supernatural Blessings Will Come Your Way!”

Praise the Lord Saints of the Most-High God!
Introduction
Jesus Christ’s life on earth was conducted in “decency and in order.” For example, at birth, Jesus was neatly wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger, and then in death and burial He was wrapped neatly in linen strips and laid in a borrowed tomb. (Luke 2:7 & John 19:40)
After Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead on the third-day, when Peter and John entered the tomb where the body of Jesus had been laid, they saw the linen strips neatly lying there, and the napkin that had been placed on our Savior’s head, in another place neatly wrapped together in a place by itself. (John 20:1-7) Think of it. On the Lord’s most triumphant Day of raising from the dead, He took the “Time” to neatly arrange and fold his grave clothes before leaving the tomb. Clearly, throughout Jesus’ life he had a habit every morning of neatly making up his bed before starting His day.
Later, on the Isle of Patmos, Jesus appeared unto the Apostle John clothed in a brilliant and beautiful long robe and golden sash about his chest signifying the Lord is both Judge and High Priest. (Rev.1:13) The attention to “order” in Jesus’ life enabled God to upgrade his wardrobe, from modest apparel, to Kingly attire!
In this final Sermon of the Series, we are going to drive-home the virtues of living your life in “decency and in order;” especially has it pertains to your home, financial, and Church affairs. For the blessings of God surely will come on all those whose lives are ordered according to the Word of God. Let’s enter today’s Message through Psalm 50:23, which states:
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me; and to him that ordereth his manner of living aright, I will show the salvation of God.”
“Order” Brings Supernatural Blessings
To some people order is boring and mundane, but not to me. I am passionate about living my life in decency and in order. Taking the “Time” to plan, organize, and arrange everything in my life brings me great joy, a sense of control, and a knowing that I am exercising faithful stewardship over all that God has placed in my hands.
I sing praises even to the wise choice of making “order” a priority in my life, and as a result, I routinely see the supernatural power of God move in my home and business affairs. Let’s understand upfront that order always precedes the manifestation of the blessing of God. While preparing this Sermon Series several God-good things have happened that I will share with you; things that only God can do sweetly, quietly, and powerfully. My soul must make its boast in the Lord.
A few weeks ago, I got the biggest laugh. I had to run out to the bank to have an insurance change of beneficiary form witnessed by two people. When I arrived at the bank and asked for assistance from the bank manager in having the form witnessed, he told me that the bank only notarized forms, and he could not be of assistance. However, standing next him was the Notary of Public for the bank.
On his own volition, the Notary spoke up and volunteered to serve as my witness, and he completed the form. Then the Notary said loudly, “Mr. Joyce, now you only need one other person to witness the document.” The other tellers nearby heard him, but did not respond. However, immediately standing on my right-side was another customer at a teller’s window, who had overheard the conversation. The man spoke up saying, “I am an attorney at law and will gladly serve as the second witness.” He signed the document and I thanked both gentlemen for helping me out.
Look at the goodness of God! Within a matter of minutes, I got my document witnessed, and was able to move on quickly to my next item of business. Because I go about handling my business affairs in decency and in order, God supernaturally had both of these men in the bank at the set time, placed on their hearts a willingness to help me (a complete stranger), and expeditiously they both did a good deed for me. This was not a matter of luck or happenstance. No, no, no. It happened because my financial life is conducted in decency and in order; and God blesses “order.”
As I left the bank, I laughed and raised my hands to God saying, thank you Lord for your faithfulness unto me.” You said in the Holy Bible, that “the soul of the diligent will be made fat.” (Prov.13:4) You said that you are a rewarder of those who diligently seek after you. (Heb.11:6) On and on I went praising God!
Here is another testimony of what living your life in decency and in order can do for you. Earlier in this Series, we talked about valuing God’s money by “waking up from the dead” every coin in your house and automobile, by wrapping-up the money and placing it in a bank account, or investing it in the stock market.
From a box of coins in my home, I wrapped $20 in coins and put them in the bank. The next week, I received a check in the mail for $580 from a class-action lawsuit filed almost a decade ago, in which I had no knowledge that I was even a participant! Then, about three weeks later, I received another check for $280.19 from the same class-action law suit. Lastly, a week ago I received another check for $47.50 from another class-action law suit that I had no knowledge of.
So, within about a two month span, I received a total of $907.69 from law suits. My diligence in wrapping-up coins and putting them in the bank resulted in God supernaturally blessing me with a more than 45-fold increase in money above my coin bank deposit of $20. God said to me, “These events were not a “coincidence,” but a “coin-incident!” They were simply the blessedness of doing things decently and in order.
Oh, let me give one last witness. I have a grey trashcan at home that is my favorite container to place our garbage in each week. I have several trashcans, but this one is special. This trashcan and lid have been with me for over 15-years. It’s sturdy, reliable, and mobile with wheels. The trashcan has endured all sorts of weather and can hold a lot of trash.
On a very windy Monday morning a few weeks ago, I walked the trashcan down to the curb for the weekly pick-up. The lid on the can has gotten worn and not always fits snuggly. So I was concerned that it might fly off. About an hour later, I looked out of the window and noticed that the lid had blown off. A crow had descended and begun to try to get into the trash bags. I immediately went out and shewed the bird away; the last thing I wanted is for my trash to be scattered in the yard and neighborhood.
I looked everywhere for the trash lid but could not find it.
We had just had a big snow storm and I looked all over the front yard for the grey lid, and in our gully way. Then I walked across the street and looked in my neighbor’s front yard, and then down the street in my neighbor’s front yards. And, even though unlikely that the lid had traveled up the street, I looked in several of my neighbor’s yards up from me. But the lid was nowhere to be found. I said to myself, “Lord where is the lid.” I was calling on God to help me find the lid.
About an hour later, the County Trash Truck and workers were coming down my street to pick up the trash. I was feeling dejected and resigned to having in the future to use another trash can. I was waiting by the curb for the workers to empty my trash can, when to my amazement, I looked in my neighbor’s yard one door up from my house, and the trash lid was resting in the yard. I had already searched that yard, and it was not there before, happily I hurried to get the trash lid and place it on the can.
I said to God, “Lord you are simply amazing!” It was not at all likely that the wind had blown the lid up the hill, as it always blows things down the hill. God rewarded my diligence in being a tidy man with the return of the lid for my favorite trashcan. He had the lid placed in an area in the neighbor’s yard to let me know it was truly the work of the Lord.
These examples may seem as small things to some people, but they are not. Every benefit we receive from God is to be remembered, and there is no greater act of love we can show toward God than to “order” our lives in accordance with His Word. Again, before God will do any supernatural work in our lives, “order” must first be established. (I Cor.14:33)
Satan, our adversary, knows that the blessings of God flow through decency and order, as he seeks to use the spirit of Procrastination, to distract us from setting our house, business, and Church affairs in order; to delay in systematically planning and organizing important things. He wants us to keep an untidy home, and be poor organizers of our business affairs and Church services, to open the doorway wide for confusion and chaos to enter in and wreak havoc. Ecclesiastes 10:18 states, through sloth the roof sinks in, and through indolence (laziness) the house leaks.
Oh Saints, have we not yet learned what Jesus Christ said, is absolute Truth, and a certainty to occur? Jesus said in this world we will have “tribulation.” (John 16:33) Haven’t we learned that in the human experience there will come a “Time” of great trouble and affliction? When trouble comes our way, the sure fire way to experience intense stress, frustration, arguments, heartache, and disaster is when the affairs of our lives are out of order. But when your home, business, and Church affairs are in order, you can have peace and blessed assurance that with God you can navigate through all adversity.
Before going into my next section, I have to give a shout-out to my mother, Dr. King. I cannot teach on the topic of “decency and order” without talking about the most organized person I have ever known, and the blessing that rest on her life because of it. By watching her life I have learned that the secret to success is “order.”
Last Friday, Dr. King turned 93-years old. Glory be to God for the things He has done! Almost everywhere I go with her, people compliment her beauty, youthful appearance, and keen intellect. They ask her how she manages to look so young, what’s her secret they ask? Quickly and happily, Dr. King responds to them, that it’s “God.” “God is my life” she exclaims. She is correct that God is the reason for her longevity on earth.
If, however, you were privy to Dr. King’s daily routine as I am, you would see that her life is ordered by the Word of God. She is “diligent” about doing things that promote good health and longevity. My mother “habitually” eats healthy meals and portions, drinks water like a fish, exercises, and most days sleeps a full 8-hours.
Every aspect of my mother’s business life is exceptionally well-documented and in impeccable order. Every document of importance is labeled and filed in its proper place, within a very large file cabinet. Her home-life is immaculate too, as her clothes and shoes and other belongings are neatly placed in her bedroom closet; and her medicines are stored where she can easily access them. Nothing ever is out of place in my mother’s surroundings.
So meticulous is she that left-over foods from meals are all placed in containers that “exactly” fit the remaining portions. She is mindful not to waste anything. For example, Dr. King really enjoys “Jiffy” lite peanut butter and unsalted crackers as a snack. She will scrape the jar clean; none of the peanut butter is ever wasted and not a cracker thrown away! Also, Dr. King never forgets a birthday (family, friend, Church member) and to send a card and gift as she can.
Her Church life spanning many decades is marked with nothing but excellence; always on time, willing to do all for her Church, a fervent prayer, tither, and student of the Word of God; and her display of love for God and every person she does with all of her might. I say to you Saints, its Dr. King’s “decency and ordering” of her whole-life that makes room for God to bless her life with prosperity and longevity. Yes, God blesses “order” and continually reveals His Salvation to her.
A Definition of Decency and Order
Saints, here is a definition for “decency and order.” Decency and order means conducting oneself or performing actions in a way that is considered proper, respectful, and well-organized, adhering to accepted standards of morality and good manners, with a sense of appropriate behavior and structure in place; essentially it’s doing things the right way without causing chaos or disruption.
Let’s hone in more on the word “order,” which is the organized arrangement of every detail in your life. Right now, stop and think Saints, is “every detail” of your life well-organized? For example, are your business affairs organized in such a way that you can readily explain to a trusted family member or friend; the location of your bills, legal documents, insurance documents, bank statements, pension plan documents, etc.?
Have you taken the “Time” also to sit down with a trusted person and brief them on your business affairs, and last wishes? For we know not the day, nor the hour, that we will take our last breath on earth and be present with the Lord. (II Cor. 5:8) In what condition will we leave our financial affairs to those who we say we love and adore?
Living an ordered life, gives no place to the devil, and for confusion and chaos to breed! When a person’s life is lived in decency and in order, God is pleased, and when a person’s ways please God, He makes the person’s enemies to be at peace with them. (Prov.16:7) Tell me, can anyone find a person in the world who is not at peace with Dr. King?
You see, many people lead lives that lack order, or that are completely out of control. Routinely, they lose their keys, can’t find the TV remote, run out of clean clothes, neglect to do important things, forget a friend’s birthday, pay bills late because it got lost in the heap of papers on their desk, they have dishes piled in the sink, dirty toilets and floors, they fail to make up their beds and keep an untidy house and surroundings, their garages and cars are full of debris and dirty in appearance, they are late for work, forget meetings, they are unprepared for presentations, they are late filers of taxes, and blamers of others for negative outcomes.
All these problems and more I could mention are the result of a lack of decency and order in a person’s life. They are not a good example to follow, and their ways are unpleasing to God. God finds it difficult to supernaturally do favors for those who live their lives in a bowl of chaos!
God is a God of Order
In Christian Circles, we have heard the phrase “God is a God of Order” a million “Times.” However, many born-again Christians do not realize that the phrase “God is a God of Order” is a personal call for the believer to get their own house in order. God expects for every person to live a decent and ordered life. For, every human being is made in the image of God, after His own likeness. (Gen.1:26) When God looks at our lives He should see decency and order, as we are to reflect His image and likeness in the earth. The supernatural goodness of God is then free to flow when our lives are in order.
Throughout the Holy Bible, we see how much God honors and values order. This is most evident in Psalm 138:2. Look at the Verse closely as the Psalmist exclaims:
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God thinks so highly about “order” that, He has placed His Word above all that His names represent. God’s actions are ordered by His Words which are magnified in His sight. Since God is a God of order, therefore His people must also live in decency and in order. Furthermore, because God is orderly, He is an organizer; as He plans everything!
For example, at I Peter 1:20, the plan of salvation through the blood of Jesus was premeditated, “before the foundation of the world.” We also were promised eternal life, “before the world began.” (Titus 1:2) We were blessed, chosen, made holy, and blameless in God’s sight, “before the foundation of the world.” (Eph. 1:3-5)
Also, in Jeremiah 29:11, God said I know the “plans” I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, “plans” to give you hope and a future.” My, my, my before the Prophet Jeremiah was even born, God had a plan for his life, he had called and ordained him to be a Prophet unto the nations. (Jer.1:5)
And, praise God, God put the marriage supper of the Lamb, which takes place before Jesus’ millennial reign on earth, on the calendar 6,000 years in advance. (Rev.19:6-10)
God’s Passion for order is evident to all of Mankind through creation. There is no greater place to observe God’s Passion for order than through His creation of the world and human beings. In Genesis 1:2-31, we read that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and God began to speak and give permission for everything to be, and everything that He made was good (complete and perfect). (Gen. 1:1-31)

Everything created was engineered and ordered in such a way to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth, which was once inhabited by the Pre-Adamites, prior to Lucifer’s fall from heaven for rebellion against God.
The life of human beings and things created in the earth only became confusing and chaotic when Adam sinned against God. (Gen. 3:6-24) The reason that the world we live in today is “literally and figuratively” on fire is because Mankind continues to walk disorderly before God.
As the hearts of men continually wax cold towards God, with greater intensity the earth yields famines, earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires and other catastrophic events. (Matt. 24:12) The increase of sin and lawlessness only brings wars among nations, catastrophic changes to the environment and atmosphere, and violence among people. Whether it be in government, marriage, parenting, or finances, remove the “Orderly God” from preeminence, and things will become chaotic!
Evidence of God’s Passion for order is found in the majestic setting of the planets of our solar system, in every detail of creation, and in the way our bodies are wonderfully made. Oh, if we would just take the “Time” to look out of our windows at creation, or to peer into a glass mirror at ourselves, we can observe God’s Passion for order. Notice, God has chosen to operate through organized systems. The Apostle Paul wrote at Romans 1:20 (NKJV):
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead…”
Notice, in creation, everything produces after its own kind. Sunrises and sunsets come one after another, trees produce trees, and grass produces grass, and dogs produce dogs, and cats produce cats. This never ceases. However, this world’s system and society influenced by Satan, diabolically puts forth the theory of evolution, which teaches that everything happens by chance. But, evolution is nothing more than Satan’s wicked plan to hide God’s Passion for order. A pastor once rightly exclaimed that, “Deliberate design requires that there be a Designer.” God is truly the architect and maker of “All.”
The Holy Bible states that, “fearfully and wonderfully we are made.” (Ps.139:14-16) Two examples of God’s order in the design of the human body is the eye and ear. Have you ever considered the order of these body parts? Proverbs 20:12, makes clear that the Lord has made them both!
Medical experts report within the human eye there are over “one million microscopic optic nerves that match up with a fiber-optic cable in your brain.” This precise and delicate match-up is what allows every person to see. What a mighty work God has done to enable human sight. Also, medical experts say that within the human ear there are three miniature bones that work together perfectly in conjunction with the eardrum that enable human beings to hear. How could these small bones evolve so precisely? If even one bone was missing or even slightly smaller or bigger, experts say hearing would be impossible. What a mighty God we serve to structure these bones with precision for hearing.
God loves Order and Expects His children to Be Organized
I have read the Holy Bible several “Times” and my take away is that God is “obsessed with order.” There are so many examples in the Bible with God giving specific details to His people and expecting them to carry out His orders precisely as detailed. For example:
* Noah was given precise guidelines on building the Ark. God said to Noah, “Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.” (Genesis 6:14-16 NKJV).
* Moses received specific instructions on how to build the Tabernacle. God told him, “Let them make Me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it” (Exodus 25:8-9 NKJV). God gave instructions concerning the material to use for the tabernacle, the precise dimensions, and even the formula to be used for the sweet smelling incense. Additionally, the priests were told the proper way to offer sacrifices, and the high priest was instructed to enter the Holy of Holies in a certain way.
* Moses was also instructed to hit a rock to produce water. But later, he was instructed to speak to a second rock. When Moses disobeyed this small instruction, it cost him his chance to see the Promised Land. (Ex.17:6 & Num.20:8-12)
* God gave Joshua specific instructions for overcoming Jericho. God’s instructions were to: Walk around the wall once each day for six days. Remain quiet while you walk. On the seventh day, walk around the wall seven-times. Shout and blow the trumpets. The children of Israel went with the flow and obeyed the order and the wall fell down flat. (Josh. 6:1-20)
*Again, I take you to Jesus and show you His Passion for order. Jesus’s Passion for order is seen when He fed the multitudes with the five loaves of bread and two fishes. He Commanded the disciples to have the 5,000 men to sit down by fifties in a company. Jesus looked to Heaven, blessed the fish and bread, and broke and gave it to the disciples to feed the multitude, and they did eat and all were filled. Twelve baskets of food remained which they took up that day, as nothing was wasted. (Luke 9:12-17)
*In an orderly fashion and with specific instructions, Jesus called and sent forth 70-other disciples, two-by-two, before his face to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God and heal the sick in every city and place that He planned to visit. He sent them out telling them not to carry purse, nor script, nor shoes; and to salute no man by the way. They were to enter into houses and to first say, “peace be to this house,” and if the son of peace was there, the disciple’s peace would rest on the house. If not, their peace would return again. Also, they were to remain there eating and drinking such things that were given them.
The disciples followed the orders of Jesus and returned with great joy, saying even the devils were subject unto them by the Holy name of Jesus. (Luke 10:1-17) Jesus then assigned the disciples power over all of the enemy of the Devil. See how walking in decency and order brings about the supernatural blessings of God? Order was established and then the power of God was free to flow and do good deeds for all people that were in need.
Now, most born-again Christians have over looked the Truth that Heaven greatly values “protocol,” which is another word for order. It’s amazing to me: If a person is privileged to receive an invitation to visit the White House and meet the President of the United States, they are given detailed instructions on how to maintain proper protocol and edict. There is a way to dress and conduct yourself while on the grounds of the White House. The guests all arrive on “Time,” wear their best attire, and show excitement and joy for having the chance to visit the White House. An experience they never forget.
Oh Saints, why do we think Heaven/and the Body of Christ’s Church does not also have protocols that are to be followed? Why do we not have a higher regard for the privilege of assembling together in God’s House and meeting King Jesus, than we do for the White House?
Heaven has a dress code (white robes) and proper protocol that must be followed. For Church assembly we should come dressed prepared for Worship, with clothes that are respectable and that demonstrate self-control and modesty. We should not be “preoccupied” with costly clothes and having a “motive” of gaining the attention of others through fine things. Our worship is to be heartily unto the Lord, and not obsessed with Neiman Marcus, Gucci, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the like. (Matt. 6:25, I Tim. 2:9-10, & I Pet. 3: 3-4)
Furthermore, the Holy Bible tells us that we are to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.” (Psalm 100:4 NKJV) As born-again Christians, citizens of the Kingdom of God, do we follow this protocol when entering the Church of Jesus Christ? When was the last “Time” you literally entered the threshold of a Church Service for in-person, or online service, with thanksgiving and praise? To gain an audience with the King of kings, we must follow proper protocol.
Also, we are instructed to set aside money for giving on a weekly basis, in proportion to our incomes in support of our Churches and to help those in need. (I Cor. 16:2) We are not to enter God’s House empty handed. (Deut.16:6) But, are we following the protocol.
One of the many things I admire about the Apostle Paul, is his obsession with order. Paul’s many letters to the early Church established protocols for how the members of the Church should behave during services. Paul understood that “order increases anointing and efficiencies.
For example, when the Corinthian Church was out of control, Paul instructed them writing, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Corinthians 14:40 NKJV). The Corinthian Church majored on the spiritual gifts of the Holy Ghost, but they were in danger because of their lack of order. Paul wrote two full chapters of instructions to help the believers get their spiritual gifting in order. Paul did not tell the believers to discontinue operating in their spiritual gifts, but told them how to get it in order.
At I Corinthians 11:34, Paul also wrote, “… the rest I will set in order when I come…” Paul provided instructions to the Corinthian Church, as he had done with the Galatians that when giving to the Church, they were to put their finances in order. I alluded to this earlier. He wrote at I Corinthians 16:1-3 (NKJV):
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.
Paul’s instructions clearly laid out all of the steps needed to do things in decency and in order; the who, what, when, where, why, and how:
Who: Everyone is to give.
What: Everyone is to give “as he may prosper.”
When: Everyone is to give on “the first day of the week.”
Where: Everyone is to give towards those suffering from famine in Jerusalem.
Why: Everyone is to give in advance so that Paul does not have to receive a collection when he arrives.
How: After everyone is finished giving, the offering is to be taken to Jerusalem, accompanied by “whomever you approve by your letters.”
Paul asked for names of qualified people to be submitted in writing for his approval before they were trusted with the money. This documentation was due diligence on his part and assured accountability. Our Church Services should always be carried out in decency and order, and when they are, God’s Anointing is free to come remove every burden and destroy yokes.
The Secret to Getting and Keeping Your Affairs in Order
There is good news for those whose home and business affairs are not in order. One’s life can easily be put in order, if they adopt the age-old principal of “putting things back where they were originally found.” Nothing can ever be lost when you return things to its rightful place after using it.

Most parents have taught the principal to their children from an early age to always put things back where they found them. The parent(s) took the “Time” to work with their child on planning and organizing their clothes, shoes, and toys in designated places. So that things would remain tidy, easy to find, and have order. When you put things back in their rightful place, (clothes, documents and so forth) you are able to account for everything that you have, and then make wise assessments on “whether you still need the thing(s) in that place anymore.”
You must be willing to get rid of things (give away the things to others in need or throw them in the trash) that are no longer essential or useful for living.
A key scripture often referenced regarding getting rid of clutter is Luke 12:15, in which Jesus Christ stated, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” This Verse emphasizes that our worth isn’t defined by how much stuff we own, encouraging us to avoid accumulating unnecessary possessions.
In closing, God expects for us to live in decency and in order. Living your life in an orderly manner has many virtues that I could go on and on about, but the main one is an orderly life eliminates wasting “Time.”
When I need to leave the house for a meeting, run errands, or have an emergency, I can quickly put my hands on my keys, cell phone, and wallet because they are always kept in the same place. I like keeping my house immaculate, with carpets clean, an empty kitchen sink, bathrooms clean, a neat office desk and manicured landscape. My closets are clean and clothes, shirts, shoes etc. are well organized. My house always smells good because I routinely vacuum, wash windows and baseboards, deodorize, and dust.
I do these things because I appreciate and value all that God has given to me, and expect when family and guests come for visits that my house glorifies God, and is seen as being in order at all “Times.” I want God to see that I am faithful in the little things and can be trusted with much. (Luke 16:10)
When things in my home or office are getting in disorder, I become stressed and feel less in control of my surroundings. Order positions you to be in control. I don’t want to feel as though I need to apologize to any person who comes into my home because it is a mess. I don’t want people to leave out my house saying underneath their breath that my house was dirty and smelled. I don’t want people to avoid coming to my house because it is a mess.
As Pastor, I am required to show “hospitality” to my guests by offering them a home away from home. (I Tim. 3:2) Everything that I would make available to myself at home, I want my guests to receive as they cross the Welcome Mat at my front door. Jesus Christ is recorded at Matthew 7:12 as saying: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”
I will go further in saying in my nearly 69-years on earth that living a decent and orderly life, increases your wealth, favor, success, happiness, rewards, as well as your self-esteem. Yes, order determines what goals you meet or fail to achieve. Order will move you to new levels of promotion in life. Again, I say to you Saints, live your life in decency and in order and God will supernaturally bless you beyond measure.
My last example of order comes from the wise life of King Solomon, and eventful experience he had with the Queen of Sheba in Jerusalem. The Queen of Sheba had heard about the fame of Solomon and his relationship with the Lord and came to test Solomon’s wisdom with hard questions. While in Solomon’s company, the Queen was completely mesmerized by his wisdom and keeping of his palace. Solomon’s house was built with the Lord’s Wisdom.
Let’s examine II Chronicles 9:1-4 (NKJV) to see how his wisdom was manifested in his house.
“And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers and their apparel, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.”
The Queen of Sheba observed Solomon’s wisdom. His wisdom was “visible” in the way he did things; in the construction of his house, which was beautiful, luxurious, and well made. The food on his table and that he consumed was perfectly prepared and delightfully arranged. She also observed the servants; their service, apparel and how they dressed the same and how they sat. His cupbearers also had their own apparel as well. Even the entryway to his house and doorway was a manifestation of his passion for order. So impressed with Solomon’s wisdom and house-hold the Queen was that she gave to Solomon huge amounts of gold, spices, precious stones, and other good things. (I Kings 10:1-10).
Saints, whether we have an apartment or a mansion, a little or a lot, let us work with God to do everything in decency and in order. Let us appreciate and value with diligence all that God has placed in our hands so that we can experience supernatural increase as His faithful stewards. Amen for the preaching of the Word of God. Thanks be unto God for the victory over Procrastination.

Sermon Series: “Don’t Waste Your Time: Procrastination Is the Enemy of Time!”
March 23, 2025
Sermon Part 8: “In God in Christ Jesus Go With the Flow!”
Good Morning Saints!
Here is the Introduction for Today’s Message:

This is possibly the simplest Sermon I have ever preached. Everybody say, “Go With The Flow!” This Sermon is easy for any born-again Christian to understand and apply to their lives and experience complete victory in every arena of life, including all financial matters. Indeed, life is full of ups and downs, good and hard “Times”, and full of uncertainties along the way. But, why should we waste “Time” fretting over tomorrow when God is “with us” today? Simply learn how to flow with God, and everything will be “All” right. Yes, God will make everything “ALL” right!
For example, in Genesis 24:1-4, God appeared unto Isaac and told him not to go down into Egypt, but to sojourn in the land that God would show him (Gerar). God Promised Isaac that He would be “with” him, “bless” him, and make his offspring numerous for his Father Abraham’s sake. Isaac simply went with the flow, meaning he obeyed God and resided in Gerar.
Then we find in Genesis 26:12-15, in a “Time” of severe famine, Isaac sowed (planted crops) in the land, and received in the same year a hundredfold. By human intellect and calculation it made no sense to farm in a place where there was widespread shortage and hardship due to the drought of water rains. But, God was “with” Isaac and had blessed him. The blessing was so intense on Isaac’s life that it caused him to “wax great” in Gerar, to push forward until he became “very great.” We are told that Isaac had amassed flocks, herds, a multitude of servants, and that the Philistines were envious of him. (Gen. 26:12-15)
Praise God, as God was with Isaac, so is He also with us, and has blessed us in all things by faith in Jesus Christ, according to Abrahamic Covenant. (Eph.1:3, Gal.3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29) So, it would behoove every born-again Christian to resolve within themselves to “Go with the Flow,” and follow after God. Every step that we take “with God” is intended to be a “wealth-step!”
Pay Attention to the Phrase “With God”
Every person within the Body of Christ needs to pay far more attention to the prepositional phrase in the Holy Bible; “with God.” It is vital that we know the meaning of the word “with.” Jesus Christ’s last words to His disciples before ascending on high to the right-hand throne of Father God were, “and low I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matt. 28:20) Through life’s ups and downs, good and hard “Times,” and uncertainties, Jesus is with us.
Saints, are you “keenly” (meaning eagerly, steadily watchful, or sharply focused) aware that God in Christ Jesus is always with you? If you are keenly aware that God is with you, there is never a need to waste “Time” Procrastinating” about any matter, especially money matters. Whether we find ourselves in financial debt, lack, needing to make family decisions, business, legal, or investment decisions; I beg you to become keenly aware that God is with you! How? By just taking God at His Word and trusting that He has committed Himself to never leave you nor forsake you, and always with excitement search your heart for Him. (Heb.13:5)
When you face dilemmas, never throw your hands up in the air in frustration and quit, or make hasty decisions by leaning on your own understanding. Jesus Christ said men ought always to pray and not faint. (Luke 18:1) In the midst of a dilemma, search your heart for God and His Wisdom and He will direct your path. (Prov. 3:5-8)

Here me now. The word, “with” means that a person or thing are in a place together, or are doing something together. Praise God, God is always in the same place together with you, and desires to do something good together with you. God is good all the “Time,” and always seeks to do good for you, and with you! Psalm 100:5, says, “For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
My heart is so impressed with Acts 10:38. I tell you what folks, this is one silky smooth Scripture. About Jesus Christ’s Ministry on earth as the Son of Man, the Apostle Peter gave this witness:
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus Christ is our supreme example to follow in all aspects of life because He alone lived the perfect life, revealed to us how to return to God, and how to have an intimate relationship “with” God the Father. (Heb. 12:2 & I Cor.11:1) God was in Jesus Christ, and “with” Jesus Christ. So then God was in the same place with Jesus, and did the same things together with Jesus. The result was Jesus walked in the Divine Will and Purposes of God during His “Time” on earth, and did good works never seen nor heard of before in the history of the world.
Peter and the disciples were eye-witnesses that Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. No matter the obstacle Jesus was confronted with, He walked with God and did nothing but “good” works along the way. Through the manifold miracles He performed, clamoring crowds that followed after Him, diver temptations He was subject to, ridicule and mockery encountered by the Jews, sundry persecutions and sufferings endured more than any human being, even the agony and death of the cross; Jesus walked in lock-step obedience with God the Father. (Php.2:5-11)
Each day, Jesus lived knowing He was in the perfect Will of God and fulfilling the Divine Purposes of God, in “Time.” Jesus was keenly aware that God was with Him at all “Times.” Jesus testified that He and God the Father were “One.” (John 10:30) Jesus said to Philip; “he that hath seen me has seen the Father.” (John 14:9) With all assurance Jesus said that He only said what He heard the Father say, and did only what He saw God the Father doing. (John 12:49) Furthermore, Jesus was recorded saying at John 10:17-18,
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
No man in the history of the world can claim having the power to give his life, and then raise it up again from the dead. Only Jesus could accomplish such an amazing miracle, because He received the Commandment from God. And, on the third-day, He arose triumphant from the dead just as He said he would. Oh, what a keen awareness Jesus had that God the Father was with Him! Jesus flowed with God, by living by every Word of God.
God in Christ Jesus is Calling You to Flow with God
Even today, Jesus is sending a Message to the people of the world, that if they would believe in Him, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost will come into their hearts and abide “with” them forever! So that every person can “Go with the Flow;” being led by every Word of God. (Luke 4:4) Every step taken being a wealth-step. God in Christ Jesus increasing them more and more, and their children’s children as well. (Ps.115:14)

Praise God, as born-again sheep within Christ’s fold, Jesus said that we hear His Voice, He knows us, and we follow after Him. (John 10:16, 27-28) Further, in Jesus’ prayer to God the Father, He petitioned that we all might be “One” in God in Christ. Listen to the prayer closely dear Saints at John 17:20-22.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Saints, we all have been made “One” in God in Christ, and have received Christ’s “Glory.” The Glory of Christ consists of all of the fullness of God, and is revealed to us through the Holy Ghost. (Col. 2:10 & John 16:13-15) Included in the Glory of Christ is God’s Love, Wisdom, and Power. The Glory of Christ is given to us to fulfill the Divine Purposes of God in “Time,” while we are in the earth, and in the world which is to come. No matter the state of the world the Glory of Christ serves to dismantle, dominate, and destroy the works of evil. The Glory of Christ reverses every curse, Praise the Holy Name of Jesus!
We are full of the Glory of Christ Jesus, and the Holy Ghost is going to show us all things to come. (John 16:13-15) Wherever the Glory of Christ is released; sin is removed, debts are dissolved, poverty is eradicated, and wealth and peace rests on individuals and families.
Step-by-step, as we walk with God, the Glory of Christ is revealed through us. And, all we have to do, as our Message Title says is, “Go with the Flow!” At Romans 8:14, the Apostle Paul wrote that the “sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.” The Spirit of God has been given to us to lead us into the manifestation of the Abrahamic Covenant, wherein we have been made exceedingly rich, and called to be a blessing to all families of the earth. (Gal. 3:6-9, 13-14, & 26-29)
I ask of you dear Saints, with all that I have said thus far, is there anything too hard for God to accomplish in your life? The Prophet Jeremiah cried out in prayer saying, “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” (Jer. 32:17) Therefore, being keenly aware (excited and sharply focused) that God is with you in the same place together, and wanting to do good things with you, each day you must live knowing that every task before you is achievable! All you need to do is “Go with the Flow!”
All Things Are Possible To Those Who Flow With God
One of the most powerful Verses in the Holy Bible are the words of Jesus Christ when He said to His disciples, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matt.19:26) Jesus was providing clarification to the disciples regarding how a person receives eternal life and gains entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. Salvation cannot be obtained by genetics, economic status, political might, nor through good behavior and deeds in accordance with the Law of Moses. (Eph. 2:8)
Only through placing complete trust in Jesus Christ and following after Him can a person receive eternal life. (John 3:16 & 14:6) Jesus is the only way to God. To walk with God requires total commitment and sacrifice of all to Jesus. (Rom.12:1-2) Any person who would follow after Jesus must be willing and ready to forsake all, including family and material things.
Yes, even if the person has all the riches of the world, if the riches serve as a hindrance, the person must be willing to let them go to follow after Jesus. For there is no eternal profit if a man gains the riches of the world, and yet loses his soul. (Mark 8:36) Riches are worthless to a person who has lost their moral compass and understanding of the Divine Purpose of money and life in this world.
This indeed was the case of the story of the “Rich Young Ruler” recorded in Matt.19:16-22 and Mark 10:17-22. The rich young man came running to Jesus inquiring how he might obtain eternal life with God. (Matt.19:16-22) This was a good thing as we all should run to Jesus. But soon after, the rich young ruler’s jubilation turned to utter sadness, when Jesus told him, if he wanted to be perfect (complete in following after God) to go and sell all of his possessions and give it the poor, and follow after Him.
Jesus promised the young man that if he obeyed, he would have treasure in Heaven and to follow him. (Matt. 19:21-22) But, he refused to “Go with the Flow,” and went away sad, for he “had great possessions.” Or, we could say, “The great possessions had him.”

In speaking to the disciples, Jesus said that “a rich man shall hardly enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt.19:23-24) Jesus compared the impossibility of a camel going through the eye of a needle, to a rich person, in his own strength, entering into the Kingdom of Heaven, which is also an impossibility. When the disciples heard this, they were exceedingly amazed and wondered then who could be saved. Peter, even exclaimed that he and the disciples had forsaken all and followed the Lord, and wondered what would be their fate.
Jesus, however, was pointing out that when a rich person clings to and trust in Him, it is possible to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And, He assured the disciples they would have a significant place in His Kingdom to come, in which they would sit with Him in glory judging the 12-tribes of Israel.
Additionally, Jesus guaranteed the disciples that every person who leaves their houses, family, and lands for His sake, and the gospel, (In This Time) shall receive a hundredfold houses, family, and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life. (Matt.19:28 & Mark 10:29-30)
So, when Jesus said to the disciples, “with men this is impossible but with God all things are possible,” he meant that what seems impossible to achieve through human effort alone is achievable through God’s power and grace. Essentially, Jesus was emphasizing that salvation and overcoming challenges are only possible through faith in God, not through our own abilities.
With respect to the challenges of obtaining and growing wealth in today’s economy, we need only to “Go with the Flow.” Jesus made clear in the story of the Rich Young Ruler, the way in which we are to become increased in wealth, family, lands, and inherit eternal life in the new world to come, is through preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost.
Saints, do not struggle to believe this Truth. As we work to win the lost to Christ, God Promises that money and favors will come our way, with persecutions. Jesus said to 70-other disciples that He sent out into every city that He planned to visit, that “…the laborer is worthy of his hire.” (Luke 10:7) If you will “Go with the Flow” by participating in the Great Commission to invite people to Church, preach the gospel, and share your testimony of Christ with the lost, you will receive wages; increasingly more and more.
Oh Saints, each day when you wake up, listen to the Voice of the Holy Ghost instructing you to go and share Jesus with family, friends, neighborhoods, coworkers, schoolmates, and strangers. As you follow after the Spirit of the Lord and obey, money and favors will increase and relationships will strengthen along with persecutions. (Mark 16:15-20) Persecutions will come because some people will be envious of your relationship with God, success, and moral compass to live for Jesus. But fret not yourself over workers of evil, for they soon will be cut off. (Ps.37:1-2) God is with you, there is no one who can stand against you. (Rom.8:31) You will find that as you become a professional confessor of Jesus Christ wherever you go, nothing will be impossible for you to achieve in all aspects of life; including in business, relationships, education, and ministry.
You know Saints, some might say, all this sounds too good to be true: That winning souls to Christ puts manifold money in your pockets seems impossible or illogical. To that person I would say, I understand your bewilderment, but stop your unbelief and “Go with the Flow!” I would also insist that the person put the spirit of Procrastination far from them, with all of its fear and torment about sharing the gospel with others, and then I would implore them to go and do as the Jesus Christ has Commanded.
Saints, why do we question any of the Commandments and Promises of the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again on the third-day, carrying all of our sins away? (Rom.5:8) As Jeremiah lamented, I say, “Is anything too hard for God?”
When the wedding party in Cana had runout of wine, did not Jesus tell the servants to “fill the water-pots with water?” The servants went “With the Flow” and filled pots with water to the brim. Afterwards, Jesus told the servants to draw out the wine and give it to the governor of the feast. After tasting the wine it was the best he had consumed. (John 2:1-11) Jesus’ Glory had changed the water into fabulous wine. Who would have expected mere water could, in a few minutes, be turned into vintage wine, sparing the wedding couple both embarrassment and great cost in supplying premiere wine for the feast. Nothing is too hard for God!
Or, do you not recall the story of Jesus telling Peter, and he forthrightly obeyed, to go fishing in the sea, and to take from the mouth of the first fish that he caught a coin to pay the Temple tax for himself and Jesus? (Matt. 17:24-27) Oh, how inauspicious it would seem that a fish would have in its mouth the exact money needed to pay the tributes of Peter and Jesus. But, Jesus knows all things and nothing is too hard for God!
And, since I am recalling fish stories, let’s not forget the humanly impossible, but possible with Jesus, story of Peter’s great catch of fish, recorded at Luke 5:4-10. After the Master finished teaching the people in a ship he had borrowed from Simon (Peter), Jesus told Peter and accompany to row out to deep water and cast their nets, and they would have a great catch.
Peter (a fisherman by trade) replied to Jesus that they had just come back from fishing all night and had caught nothing, but “Going with the Flow,” Peter said “nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net.” When they had done this they caught a great multitude of fish, so much so that it broke their nets, and they called to their partners (James and John) which were in the other ship to come and help.
They came and filled both the ships, and they began to sink. Scripture witnesses that because of Peter’s amazement at the supernatural catch, he fell down at Jesus’ knees saying, “Depart from me for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” Jesus told Peter not to fear and from that day forward he would catch men; which is a much more lucrative and satisfying career with eternal benefits than catching fish. With God all things are possible to him that believeth!
Lastly, do you not recall the story of the woman with issue of blood for 12-years, told at Luke 8: 43-48? The woman had spent all of her money on doctors and none could heal her. She came to Jesus, who was walking among multitudes of people, and she touched the border of his garment, and immediately her issue of blood stopped.
Jesus perceived that someone had touched Him in faith; believing for their healing and wanted to know who had made contact with Him. The woman fell down at Jesus’ feet and confessed she had touched Him, and the cause, and had been healed. (Luke 8:43-48) Jesus told her to be of good comfort and that her faith had made her “whole” and to go in peace (prosperity). For with God all things are possible to the person who believes in Jesus. Not only was she healed of her sickness, but also made “whole” in all areas of her life.
In closing, “with” God nothing shall be impossible. In this moment God wants you to know “with” Him all things are possible (powerful) if you believe in the name of Jesus Christ and follow after Him. Whatever God has Commanded you to do, you must be willing and ready to “Go with the Flow” and obey what He says do.
As born-again Christians, fire baptized in the Holy Ghost, we have been Commanded to take the gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world so that all people have the opportunity to receive God’s Salvation. Sadly, however, the vast majority of born-again Christians have never witnessed their faith to a sinner and won them to Christ, and the majority of Christians have never invited a single person to join them at Church. Heaven is waiting to pay wages and gift to Christians houses, lands, refreshed and new relationships, with persecutions. We must destroy the yoke of Procrastination that attacks born-again Christians with complacency, fear, and discouragement from participating in the Great Commission. Let us pray to the Lord that He would send forth more laborers into His Vineyard who have the courage and strength to “Go with the Flow” and reap souls for the Kingdom of God and experience supernatural wealth attainment.
Each day of your life, just do whatever God says do, and remain laser focused on completing the task, and God will bring you into prosperity. (Is. 26:3) Compel the lost to come to Church. (Luke 14:23) Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demon forces, be a kind giver to the poor and those in need for the Glory of Christ is ready to work “with” you to set captives free. (Mark 16:16-18 & Luke 4:18) Remember, wealth success comes about by doing what God says. Isaiah 1:19 states, “If you be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land.”
As born-again Christians we are to yield our members completely to Christ’s righteousness; his way of doing things. (Rom. 6:13) We are to submit our bodies as living sacrifices unto God holy and acceptable in His sight daily. (Rom.12:1-2) As we labor in the Lord’s Vineyard to win souls, there will be days and seasons of lack in the land but we are to know that God will sustain and prosper us, as He did with the great prophet Elijah, “Who flowed with God.”
In I Kings 17:1-7, 8-16, Elijah in opposition to King Ahab who ruled the northern kingdom of Israel, prophesied a drought would come upon the whole land as a consequence for Ahab’s evil. Warned by God, Elijah hid near the brook of Cherith near Jordan from the King’s army where he was fed by ravens, bread and flesh morning and evening, just as God said he would be when he arrived.
Afterwards, as the drought and famine in the land worsened and the brook dried up, the Word of the Lord came again to Elijah and told him to go to Zarepath and to dwell there. God told Elijah that He had Commanded a widow woman to sustain him there. While in her company, Elijah told the woman to make him first a little cake, and afterwards, make a cake for herself and her son from the scarcity of food she had left.
Elijah told the woman God had told him that the “barrel of meal would not waste and the cruse of oil would not fail until the day that the Lord would send rain upon the earth.” The widow woman “Went with the Flow” and did what Elijah told her to do, and the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail until God sent rain on the earth. She, Elijah, and her household ate for many days.
The lesson for us is that, if we “Go with the Flow,” walk in fellowship with the Lord and obey Him in preaching the gospel to the lost, we are in God’s Divine Will and Purpose, and God will fulfill all of our needs, as His great mercy and grace towards us never runs short. Amen for the preaching of the Word of the Living God.

Sermon Series: “Don’t Waste Your Time: Procrastination Is The Enemy of Time!”
Sermon Series: “Don’t Waste Your Time: Procrastination Is The Enemy of Time!”
March 16, 2025
Sermon Part 7:“The War on Wealth Is Won by Seeking God’s Wisdom, and Following After It!

Satan comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy everything that God has blessed us with, especially our money because he does not want us to be a blessing to others in fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant. (John 10:10, Gal. 3:13-14, Gen. 12:1-3)
But, through the Spirit of the Wisdom of God, we are to march against the gates of hell and win a more than decisive victory in every arena of life, including our money! (Matt. 16:18 & Rom. 8:37)
Happy Sunday Saints of the Most High God!
We have well established during this Series, that in Christ we have been called by God and spiritually made to be a blessing to the poor and those in need, in accordance with the Abrahamic Covenant. (Eph.1:3, Gal. 3:6-9 & 13-14) Wealth and material substance belongs in the hands of the Saints and we are to be confident in this Truth. (Prov.13:22) As we study and obey the Word of the Living God, we expect to prosper and have good success. (Josh.1:8-10 & III John 2)
We are to live in the land of “more than enough” because the Lord is our Shepherd. (Ps. 23:1) Yes indeed, it’s so good to know Jesus, so good to know the Lord. With great satisfaction we are to live on earth liberally giving to the Church, to the poor and those in need so that we might receive plenty more money to put in store. (Prov. 3:9-10, 11: 24-26 & Luke 6:38) God is exceedingly “Kind” towards us, thus, we must also be kind to one another. (Eph. 4:32) And, because we are carriers of the blessing of the Lord, we are to leave an inheritance of wealth, with integrity to our future generations. (Ps.112:1-3 & Prov. 13:22)
However, most Americans and born-again Christians alike, are unaware that they are in a “war” with Satan over their money. Figuratively speaking, there is a tug-of-war every person faces with their money. Every day, evil is trying to take money out of our hands. But, Praise God, every day God desires to place money into the hands of His people, as we do things His Way!

Whether our money is devoured through theft, riotous living, nefarious activities, poor business decisions, divorce, catastrophic events, lust, inflation, or taxes; in this fallen world it’s difficult for most people to keep and grow money.
To illustrate, media reports show that in 2024, Americans saved 4.4 percent of their total earned income, modestly up from 3.7 percent in 2023, and 3.4-percent in 2022. So, in each of the last three-years, Americans have spent above 95-percent of their hard earned money. (Financial experts suggest, however, that we should have a savings rate of at least 20-percent of income each month to reach financial independence at retirement age.)
Let me make clear though, the vast majority of Americans have not been spending their money on God. For decades, surveys on Christian Giving have consistently shown that no more than five-percent of Christians regularly tithe (10-percent of earned income), and on average they give about $17 per week in offerings. A whole is cut in the pockets of those who rob God of tithes and offerings, and their money is devoured by the wicked-one Satan. (Mal. 3:8-11 & Hag.1:6-11)
Data also show among Black Americans that little has been saved for retirement; with three out of four Black households ages 25-64 having less than $10,000 in retirement savings, compared to one out of two white households. Needless to say, nearly all Americans have not heard and/or headed the Gospel of the Ant that we talked about last week; to work diligently to eat and store away resources for a future “Time” of need. (Prov. 6:6)
Furthermore Saints, do you have any idea what the number one yearly New Year’s Resolution is among Americans? The majority of Americans resolve each year to “save more money.” Many Americans recognize the importance of setting and reaching financial goals to reduce debt, and increase savings and investments. But they fail to do so because of Procrastination, which works to convince people to put off saving and investing their money until another “Time,” and instead, prods them to spend money on things of lesser importance today. Many people spend more money on monthly cell-phone bills than they do saving and investing. My, my, my; Lord please help us value money better.
Saints, I have a News Flash for every worker in the United States, and born-again Christian. To everyone who has an employment badge I say: “It takes more than hard work to protect and grow your wealth. Many people work hard all their employment careers, some 30-40 years of employment, and at the end have little or no money to show for it.
There is a very familiar money principal that is grounded in Truth, it says, “It’s not how much you make, it’s how much you keep.” This principal suggests that “how” much money you keep, and “how” you manage it, are more important that the amount you earn. Ask yourself now, how much money am I keeping each month? Faithful stewards of God’s money understand that how hard their money works for them and how many generations they keep it for, is what pleases God most. (Matt.25:23) What money lessons are you passing down to your children’s children?
So let’s stop and think right here. When we receive our pay checks from honest labor, what matters most is “how” much money we keep and use to work for us. Notice, there is a gap between when we receive money-wages, and “how” much we keep and have of it to increase for future use? There is a wide-gulf between receiving wages and building wealth.

The operative question that bears repeating is: Oh How, Oh How, Oh How do we build wealth? As born-again Christians, we should not remain standing in the land of lack, when God has Promised and Appointed us to live in the land of plenty. Philippians 4:19 states, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
We must recognize the vital necessity of getting the right answer on “how” to keep and grow the money we receive, because Satan is warring against us to take it all away! Um, a wise and faithful steward over money would conclude they need a “Financial Advisor” to instruct them on “how” to eliminate the “Wealth-Gap” in their lives. They need to ask a Financial Advisor how to move from saving little or nothing, to saving much?
The Financial Advisor I’m talking about is God
Earthly financial planners and managers, especially those who are born-again Christians are a good thing to have, but we first need a far greater Financial Expert (God) who made and knows all the hidden secrets and pathways to building wealth with righteousness His way. Notwithstanding that we are not required to pay God fees for His financial advice! Daniel testified saying “blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his.” (Dan. 2:20) God knows how to make our money multiply exponentially, if we seek Him first for answers. (Matt. 6:33)
Psalm 115:14-15 states:
The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
The Scripture above tells us that the Lord God is the Person who is going to increase our money more and more over a long period of “Time.” Make this decree with me: Say, “The Lord is increasing me, more and more, me and my children after me.” Since God is the Person who is going to increase our money more and more, then He is the only Person who knows “how” to go about it. Tell me, who knows more about money than God? God is the owner of all things and knows all things. I love Job 41:11, it reads, “Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine.”
Since money is under the Heaven and belongs to God, we need God’s Wisdom to teach us “how” to keep our money, and make it work hard to grow more money for us. God delights in the man or woman who will humble themselves and ask for Wisdom, along with it, He also supplies knowledge and understanding. Check out Proverbs 2:6, it states, “For the Lord gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.”
Now, make this decree after me, “Lord God, teach me “how” to keep money and make it work hard to grow more money, so that I may be an able partaker and participant in the Abrahamic Covenant that was made complete on the cross of Jesus Christ; blessed to be a blessing everywhere I go.” By making this decree, we are asking God for Wisdom to bridge the Wealth-Gap in our finances. So let’s give the Lord thanks- giving and praise, saying, “Lord, I thank you for your Wisdom in eliminating the Wealth-Gap in my finances, which with all diligence I will apply to my life, without wavering, in Jesus name.” James 1:5-7 reads,
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Now Saints, I caution that our decree is not some kind of New Year’s Resolution, whereby in our own strength we are going to take actions to improve our wealth position. Most New Year’s Resolutions made by Americans are aborted within the same month, or following month after being made.
Rather, we have asked for God’s Wisdom to lead us, and we have earnestly set in our hearts and thought-life to follow His guidance in bringing us into a wealthy place in Christ Jesus. With God’s Wisdom in growing money, we can boldly march against the gates of hell tearing down asunder all barriers to Wealth, and obtain the abundant life that Jesus came to earth to give to every person. (John 10:10)
When diver temptations come to do wrong things with money, or to use money to buy things of lesser importance than saving and investing, we are going to count it all joy, understanding that our trust in God is being tried. With faith and patience we are going to stand on the Wisdom of God regarding all money matters and make sound money-decisions. Then, we will see God transfer wealth into our hands, more and more; money both large and small to save and invest.
Praise God, my heart is so impressed with Verse 5, where James, states that if any person asks God for Wisdom, that God will “liberally,” and without rebuke or shame give it to them. God desires to freely give Wisdom to all people. For so many years, most Americans have missed out on the opportunity to ask and receive God’s Wisdom on how to eliminate the Wealth-Gap in their finances. Even today, God is saying to us that we need not fear being chastened and made to feel ashamed because of past failures in managing money. Instead, God welcomes us to come and ask Him for Wisdom, in faith, and He has Promised to continually saturate us with it.
When we seek God with our whole-hearts, God abundantly supplies the Wisdom we need to prosper and have good success. The Bible straight-forwardly shows us how to eliminate the Wealth-Gap. That is, by finding and following God’s Wisdom. Happy and hilarious is the man who finds God’s Wisdom; His Wisdom founded the earth. (Prov. 3:13-19)
In James, he wrote that if we lack Wisdom we are to ask God for it in faith. In asking for Wisdom in faith, there are two foundational steps we must take to obtain it. They are found in Hebrews 11:6. We must believe God is (have reverential fear for God) and believe He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
First, we must have a reverential fear of God. Proverbs 9:10 witnesses that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The fear of the Lord means to have a deep reverence, respect, and awe for God’s Power, Authority, and Presence, coupled with humble submission to His will. Whatever God says, we are to say, “Yes and Amen Lord, have thine own way!” Do you have this kind of respect and honor for God? If so, then the door of Wisdom is open wide for you; the curtain has already been pulled back to enable you to clearly hear and receive the Spirit of the Wisdom of God through the Holy Ghost in every aspect of your life.
Second, we noted a couple of weeks ago that the primary way in which we receive God’s Wisdom to navigate the human experience is through the Word of God. Jesus Christ said that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (Luke 4:4) The Psalmist wrote, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Ps.119:105) The means by which to close and eliminate the Wealth-Gap is provided to us in the Holy Scriptures.
With diligence we must search the Scriptures, for in them we find the Voice of the Spirit of the Wisdom of God. At Mark 4:14-29, through the Parable of the Sower, Jesus Christ taught that the person who sows the Word of God on good ground (into their hearts) by hearing and receiving it (with love, reverence, belief, study, meditation, confession, and application) brings forth manifold harvests from the Word sown therein. (V.20)
Since, we require the Wisdom of God on how to close the Wealth-Gap in our finances, we must sow Scriptures (Word-Seed) into our born-again hearts on money/prosperity/wealth. With diligence, we must search and find Prosperity Scriptures and plant them in our hearts, expecting multiplied harvests. As Joshua meditated on the Law of Moses, day and night, to observe all that was written therein, and prospered and had good success, we must also be diligent in sowing and meditating on Prosperity Scriptures to realize progress and success in our finances. (Josh.1:8-9)
When you take the many Scriptures I’m about to share with you and make them like a mantel around your neck, the Chief Financial Advisor, the Lord God, will graciously pour out on you His Wisdom. Wisdom will flow out of your heart to guide you in all money-decisions, as well as every aspect of life. This is simply wonderful. But, I beg you not to let Procrastination and impatience stop you from being a faithful sower of God’s Word. For you shall reap in due season if you faint not. (Gal. 6:9)
Now, I am going to share with you a large collection of prosperity Scriptures (101in total) compiled on a Christian website called, Encounter Today. I especially like the Scriptures chosen for sowing because the author took the “Time” to present them as “faith confessions.” This is in obedience to our New Covenant with God, which declares that we are to hold fast to the confession of our faith in the precious Promises of God in Christ Jesus, without wavering, as God is faithful to keep all of His Promises towards us. (Heb.10:23) Here is the link to the 101 Scriptures on Prosperity on the website. https://encountertoday.com/blog/2022/04/20/101-bible-verses-that-prove-god-wants-you-to-prosper/
For this Sermon, I have copied the first 50-Scriptures listed, and we are going to read each one and confess them out loud and believe God for the manifestation of Wisdom in our finances and whole-life circumstances. At Isaiah 55:11, God said,
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
We have God’s Word, that if we ask in faith, He will liberally supply us with Wisdom. Thus, we receive the performance of bountiful Wisdom to eliminate the Wealth-Gap in our lives. After Service get your Bibles and study the 101 Scriptures and affirm them out-loud. Rehearse them over and over like your favorite gospel songs you know and sing so well.
You will notice in the days ahead all sorts of Wisdom flowing out of your heart by the Holy Ghost to direct your life. In closing, we simply say to all the Word-Seed we have liberally sown into our hearts, thank you Lord for your matchless Wisdom; as each day our “Wealth-Gap is closing. No one but you oh Lord has made us rich in material substance! We are truly blessed to be a blessing every place that the soles of our feet tread upon.
Lord God, we also thank you for the excellent example of Joshua and the Israelites of how according to Joshua Chapter 4, through blind obedience to your Wisdom, they walked on dry land from the Jordan River to the opposite side of Jericho. As you were with Moses, so also you were with Joshua.

When the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant stepped into the Jordan River, the water stopped flowing, allowing your people to cross on dry ground, and with Jericho being the key landmark on the other side. This crossing marked the end of the wilderness period for Israel, as they had reached a key city (Jericho), which bordered on the Promised Land Canaan.
Lord, step-by-step the Israelites followed your Wisdom, defeated their enemies, and possessed the Land of Canaan. So likewise, as we have received your Word on Prosperity, and obey the Wisdom you impart in us, step-by-step your Presence will go with us, and move us from the land of insufficiency into the land of plenty, according to the Abrahamic Covenant. In Jesus Christ name. Amen, and glory be to God for the Word of the Lord and the things He has done.
