Sermon Part 2: “You are Engineered for Profitability!”
Good morning and Praise the Lord!
God has placed the Anointing of Jesus Christ inside of your born-again Spirit, and the Anointing is working like a magnet to call and draw money, wealth, and possessions to you! You see, you are born-again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of the Living God—and the Word of God—meditated and acted on causes you to increase in wealth, health, and longevity here on earth; and you have forever been made wax rich! (I Peter 1:23, Josh 1:8, II Tim. 3:16-17 & III John 2)
Can you tell I am very excited? Right now, money and material substance is crying out for you—it’s trying to find you, and eventually will find its way into your hands because you are among God’s righteous people! No matter if you live in the most prosperous or impoverished nation in the world, “MONEY” is going to flow into the hands of God’s elect—Christians who love the Lord and obey His commands. Christians who have decided to depart from iniquity, live their lives surrendered unto God, and who refuse to hand over their children and grandchildren to the devil, are going to become billionaires and millionaires! (II Tim. 2:19-21)
King Solomon, who God gifted with unsurpassed wisdom wrote these words:
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.” (Prov13:22)
The Amplified Version of this verse says:
A good man leaves an inheritance of moral stability and goodness to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner finds its way eventually into the hands of the righteous for whom it was laid up.
Just as the wealth of Egypt was turned over into the hands of the children of Israel, as God delivered them out of bondage, money and material wealth and substance is crying out, and will eventually find its way into the hands of the just—the Saints of God.
Trillions of dollars and massive amounts of property currently in the possession of evil governments, entities, and individuals will be transferred into the coffers of the Righteous, God’s Anointed. And, we need to decree in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that, “We want it All Back.” Everything that the devil has stolen from us, we want it all back! The blessing of the Lord, has no choice but to make you rich, if you will cooperate with the plan of God, and receive money by the faith of Jesus Christ. (Prov. 10:22)
Let me say again, as I did last week, most Christians have not been taught that the day they called on Jesus Christ to save them—in that very same moment—God through Christ Jesus made them rich! (Rom.10:12) Do you believe this?
For centuries, Old-time Religion has taught us that to have wealth and riches is evil. What a lie spun from the pit of hell! The Bible says that, “the love of money is the root of all evil.” (I Tim. 6:10)
As born-again Christians, we don’t love money and material things. Rather, our hearts are filled-full of the love of God by the Holy Ghost. (Rom. 5:5) There is no room in our hearts to love anything other than God, and all people! Check your heart right now—look in your spirit. There is no trace of lust and love for money in you. Your heart is at rest and peace in God and Christ Jesus. Whether you have $10 million, or 10 cents in your pocket, the love of God rest and rules and abides in your heart!
We have been given the wrong impression about money, and its purpose, which has made the Word of God regarding wealth of none-effect in the lives of many Christians. Nearly all Christians are far more comfortable believing that the shed blood of Jesus Christ has made them free from sin and iniquity, than they are believing that His blood has made them exceedingly rich.
When most Christians see a cross on a Church steeple, or on a chain, the first thing they think about is Jesus Christ died for my sins. But every time I look at the cross of Christ, I am reminded that Jesus Christ died so that I might be made rich! When I see the cross I thank God that He has made me rich—so I may be rich in good works—so that I may be kind and tender-hearted with all people in the earth! (II Cor. 8:9)
My God, think about it! Jesus Christ has given us power over all the power of the enemy, the devil. (Luke 10:19) So, why would we not also have power over money? Uh? As the Saints of the Most High God, we are to rule over money. We are to tell money when to come, and when and how to go out! Glory be to God for the things He has done!
It is high-time for Christians everywhere to embrace the truth. That is, that God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His Saints. (Ps. 35:27) And, when a Christian has been blessed with material wealth—the big business, fine homes, cars, private jets, and so forth we ought to rejoice and take great pleasure in the persons’ success as God does. Rather than talking behind their back and pushing them down the mountain-side with words of envy!
Conversely, when the Christian has been made rich, they must remember that God has placed a “charge” on their lives. The charge is: Not to get big-headed and forget that it is God who gave them the power to get rich, to trust only in God and not in riches, and always remain ready to be rich in good works in giving to those in need as the Spirit of God directs them. (Deut. 8:18 & I Tim. 6:17) God does not make a man rich to covet money. But He makes him rich so he can be “KIND” toward all people, as our Heavenly Father is KIND towards us. (Eph. 4:32)
Now, in this Series, we are talking about three fundamental methods God uses to make born-again Christians rich. In Part 1, we talked about the most powerful method, which is preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and winning the lost to Christ. (See Sermon dated, October 23, 2022.)
There is no greater battle ground that the devil sets himself to fight Christians on than witnessing Christ to the lost. The enemy does all he can to keep the mouths of Christians locked shut, and in fear of telling other people about the testimony of Jesus Christ, and what He has done for them. As such, most Christians have never won a single person to the Lord, and in the process, the devil has been robbing Christians blind of their wealth!
Jesus Christ said with preaching the gospel would come houses and lands in this life time, as well as persecutions. (Mark 10:29) Truly, there is no work in Christianity that will earn financial rewards and favors like preaching the gospel to the lost, and with it, no greater persecutions suffered for doing so. But, like the Apostles born out of Pentecost, Christians who have the gift of God stirred up in them say to those who would persecute them for preaching the gospel, “We rather obey God than man.” (Acts 5:29) The born-again Christian must wake up and show kindness towards God, and go and win the lost to Christ!
Before I go on, let me have a side bar about the necessity of you preaching Jesus Christ and reaping the lost. You only need to consider your own salvation to serve as motivation to go reap the lost.
You see long before the foundations of the world, before even Lucifer (turned Satan) was created by God, God in His infinite knowledge knew you and chose you to be a citizen in His Kingdom. He wrote your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life and reserved a seat for you in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, at the right hand of God. (Luke 10:20) Before the world began, God called you holy, blameless, and accepted in the beloved. (Rom. 8:29-30 & Eph. 1:4-5) You did not choose God, God chose you! (Rom 8:33)
Fast forward with me now to the day in which you were conceived in your mother’s womb—conceived in sin and shaped in iniquity due to Adam’s fall in the Garden of Eden. (Ps. 51:5) But God, who is full of mercy and grace knew you, visited you while you were yet in the womb, and ordained you for His service. (Jer. 1:5) After your birth, in the process of time, God began to sow the seed of the Word (Jesus) into your life, knowing that the day would come when He would return and harvest you—His godly seed. (Mal. 2:15)
God called and used Christian people like your parents and family, church members, and other Christian folks to seed your life with knowledge about Jesus Christ. And, then one day, at God’s appointed time, you heard the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ—by someone God had formerly called and sent to reap the lost, including you!
The Holy Ghost shined a light on your sins, opened up the eyes and ears of your heart, you heard the Voice of Jesus Christ knocking at the door of your heart, you repented of your sins, and acknowledged and received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Rev. 3:20 & Rom. 10:9-10) And now, you know Jesus Christ for yourself, and follow after Him. Through Christ Jesus, God delivered you out of the kingdom of darkness, and translated you into the kingdom of God. (Col. 1:13) You have been seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, in love, joy, peace, and unity forever!
Look at the kindness of God towards you! Look at the kindness of God towards everyone who God has called to Himself, and received Jesus Christ! As such, how can you not also be kind and tender-hearted towards God, and go and win the lost to Christ? Given God’s kindness toward you, how can you neglect and ignore the calling and ordination God has placed on your life to win others to Christ? God sent a preacher to deliver you from bondage, when will you go and work with Jesus to deliver somebody else from the clutches of the enemy? The Apostle Paul wrote at Rom. 10:14-15:
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Every Christian is the preacher (minister) of Jesus Christ, therefore, we must all go forth and fulfill our calling, to reap the lost, and receive wages when our obedience is complete! (John 4:35-38) This is God’s plan for our lives, yet Satan has blinded the eyes and darkened the thought-life of most Christians, to make them think that God’s Will and Plan are a mystery and unknown to them. Most Christians are forever claiming to be in the “discovery zone” of what God has called them to do—still praying and asking God, “Lord, what is the plan for my life?”
But you see, this is how God works with us. God gives you one thing to do, and after you do it, He reveals to you the next thing to do. You will never know your next thing, until you go and do the first thing. Does everybody understand this? Go and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, and God will reveal to you the next thing in His plan for your life. Go and do God’s business and God will take care of your business—He will open the doors of divine favor in every arena of your life! Following any other course action than what God has commanded will ensure that you go the wrong way in life!
Let’s move on now to the second method God uses to transfer financial wealth into the pockets of born-again Christians. That is, through wages earned from righteous labor performed with our hands. (Deut. 28:12, Eph. 4:28, I Thess. 4:11, and II Thess. 3:10). Oh yes, your hands have been blessed to work and receive money into them.
Furthermore, every born-again Christian has been commanded by the Lord to “Occupy,” do business, until the Lord returns to rapture His Church. (Luke 19:13) This may sound strange to some of you, but God has sown the seed of business, commerce, trading, and enterprise into your heart to make you very profitable, and cause you to grow in material wealth and substance.
Whether it's running your own business, or working for an employer, God has a job for you to work and earn wages. Also, God has given you the ability to take the money earned from your labor, and multiply it in abundance. In fact, there is no job with righteous intents you have ever received that God has not served as the source for the employment, placement, and advancement. Thus, we should always view and treat our jobs as a “good and perfect gift” that comes down from our Father God in heaven to us. (James 1:17)
At your place of employment, the work maybe tedious, demands made unreasonable, conditions hazardous, or the coworkers and supervisors around you maybe a pain in the hinder parts to deal with. But God, has a plan to cause you to excel and prosper in that workplace.
Most important of all to realize, is that your labor and wages earned are unto the Lord—they belong to God. (Col. 1:16-17 & I Cor.10:31) Let me hammer the point home—all that we own is supplied by God, including your pay check! (More on this a little later.) God not only watches over your work performance, but also how you manage the money you earn to create wealth. Success in managing wealth causes the anointing of God placed in you, to increase the flow of money and material substance into your hands in this life time, and will result in an even far greater eternal inheritance when Jesus Christ returns.
In the Holy Bible, the “Parable of the Talents” and “Parable of the Pounds” illustrate these truths. (Matt. 25:14-30 and Luke 19:12-27). It is vitally important that we learn these Parables well and apply them, as they demonstrate how the Kingdom of Heaven operates regarding money management, and the seriousness of financial stewardship. From these Parables we will see that regardless of the amount of money placed in the hands of the Lord's servants (born-again Christians) Jesus Christ expects that the money be used wisely and invested for a profitable return.
We will also see through the Parables that slothfulness in work and handling money is never tolerated by the Kingdom of Heaven and brings great displeasure to the Lord.
Let's read through the Parables, first the “Parable of the Talents” recorded at Matthew 25:14-30.
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man (Jesus Christ) travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, (ministers) and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, (“talaton” is the greek word and one talent was worth $29,085 for a total of $145,425) to another two, ($58,170) and to another one ($29,085); to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. ($290,850)
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. ($116,340)
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. (No gain)
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. ($319,935)
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. ($0)
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Now, let’s read the “Parable of the Pounds,” Luke 19:12-27
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman (Jesus Christ) went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants (ministers) and delivered them ten pounds, (Greek word for pound is “Mna.” One Mna equals $17 and 10 Mnas $170 for each of the 10 servants) and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens (the Jews) hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, we will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. ($170)
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. ($85)
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: (No gain)
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
As we can see from the Parables, Jesus Christ (Lord of the servants) had an expectation that the money placed in the hands of His servants would be multiplied over a long period of time. It makes perfect sense that Jesus would have this expectation. After all, He commanded the servants to do business! Would the Lord tell any of His servants to do anything that would not be profitable, if they obeyed? Of course not.
Further, when Jesus Christ placed the money in the hands of the servants, the money (talents or pounds) had been blessed to multiply. Also each servant was anointed with the capacity to invest the money successfully according to their abilities.
Jesus Christ said at Matt. 24:46: “Blessed (prospered) is that servant whom his lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing.” The servant of the Lord who obeys the commandments of Jesus Christ is blessed until His return. So all of the servants should have had confidence to go forth and do business successfully.
When Jesus Christ allocated the pounds or talents to the servants, He knew their skill levels and gave them the wisdom to invest. Jesus Christ is the “wisdom and power” of God. (I Cor. 1:24) God never gives money to His people without the wisdom of God accompanying it. With God, wealth and wisdom are always together. About the wisdom of God, King Solomon inked the following at Proverbs 8:18-21:
Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
When Jesus Christ commanded the servants to go and do business, the wisdom of God was made available to each servant to tap into, and go forth and be successful in business activity. In both Parables, two of the three servants, using the wisdom of God, were enterprising and multiplied the money given to them.
In contrast, the third servant in both Parables, was a slothful worker who took no initiative to engage in business with the Lord’s money. Instead, the servant went and dug a whole, or hid the money under a napkin, for many years until the Lord returned. Ultimately, the servant was judged by the Lord, as wicked, slothful, and an unfaithful servant.
Now, I want you to pay very close attention to the unfaithful servant’s response to the Lord, as he gave an account for his inaction. Look at the verses again in Matthew and Luke.
Matt. 25: 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Luke 19: 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
Wow! Can you see the arrogance, un-mitigated gal, disrespect, and dishonor this servant displayed toward His Master? His Lord had instructed him to go and do business until His return. Instead, the servant decided to go and bury the Lord’s money in the ground, or keep it covered in a napkin. For decades, perhaps generations, the Lord’s money had been sitting idle, making no profit while the Lord was away. His money could have been taken away by a stranger, blown away, or even destroyed.
Moreover, the servant had the audacity to accuse His Lord of being a “hard man,” and one who “reaps where He does not sow!” (In other words, the servant was saying to His Lord—to His face even—that His Master does not work and unjustly demands a profit from the labor of others.) To top it all off, the servant presented the Lord with the sum of money he had been given many years ago, as if his Lord should be happy and content that he still had possession of the money.
On what grounds or evidence was the unfaithful servant making the accusations that His Lord was a self-serving man who un-righteously reaped where he did not sow? From the Parables, we can glean that the unfaithful servant’s accusations were meritless. In reading closely, we see that the Lord treated His servants justly and with amazing favor! For example, we can infer from the Parables that while the Lord was a way for many years, his servants, including the unfaithful servant, lacked nothing while doing business with their Lord’s money! None of the servants complained of having insufficient resources for food, lodging, clothing, or other essentials.
Surely, if the servants’ daily needs were not being met they would have been forced to use at least a portion of the money allocated to them to pay for their living expenses. How could the servants do business effectively if they were hungry and homeless? But when you work for Jesus, the Great Shepherd, He makes sure that you will never want! (Ps. 23:1)
The unfaithful steward pointed the finger that His Lord was an “unjust reaper.” But this is far from the truth. For His Lord (Jesus) is the “Master sower,” who created the law of sowing and reaping. Jesus is God manifested in flesh, and created all things by the “Word of His power.” (John 1:1, 14 & Heb. 1:3)
When the Lord commanded His servants to go and “occupy” until He returned, He was sowing the word of prosperity into each of the servants, and then invested sums of money into the abilities of each servant to engage in business activity. They were completely engineered for profitability. The Lord acted as an equal opportunity employer and chief executive who cared deeply about developing and maximizing the business skill sets of His servants, and to justly and graciously reward merit-based performance.
In the Parables, upon the Lord’s return, He gave positive feedback to the profitable servants on their performance, made them rulers over many cities—promoted them from “servants,” to “lords.” And, the most profitable servant was even given an extra bonus; the money of the slothful servant so he could enjoy more abundance!
From the Parables we see that the goal of faithful stewardship with the Lord’s money was to make all of His servants, “lords of the Lord,” and to grant them intimate fellowship and oneness with the Lord Himself forevermore. He was preparing His servants to handle markedly more wealth and responsibilities in a future kingdom to come.
Also important to note, in both Parables, the Lord never collected the money and profits from the servants. He only required an accounting from each servant of their handling of the money. Once, again look at the Kindness of the Lord! You can never beat God giving, no matter how hard you try! There is no employer like our God! When you do business with God, He will make sure you are rewarded far above and beyond your highest expectations. (Eph. 3:20)
However, with respect to the unfaithful servant, after He received the commandment of His Lord to go do business, he decided instead to listen to another voice with completely different instructions on how to handle the Lord’s money. This other voice had absolutely no authority over the servant that he should yield to obey and follow it.
No doubt, in contemplating what to do with the money, this other voice suggested to the servant he could do as he pleased with His Lord’s money, discouraged him from launching out to do business for fear of failure in business, losing the Lord’s money, and being punished for it when his Lord returned.
No doubt this other voice also told the servant to play it safe, to just go and hide the money in a presumed safe place, where he would remember he placed it. And then, to go and take it easy, relax, take a long nap. But just be sure not to forget where the money is hidden in case His Lord returned.
We know this other voice was that of the enemy the devil, because God is not the author of confusion, nor does He give to anyone the spirit of fear, but is of power, love, and a sound mind. (I Cor. 14: 33 & II Tim. 1:6-7)
The results of rebelling against the Lord’s command to do business turned out to be devastating for the unfaithful servant. His Lord judged him by his own words to be an unfaithful steward and ordered the money originally given to the servant, be turned over to the most profitable servant. And, the unfaithful servant was not only left with no money, but also banished from the Lord’s Kingdom.
My God, what just happened here? The devil picked the pocket of the unfaithful servant, and robbed him of the money he had been given by His Lord, and potential return on investment if he had done business. Moreover, the unfaithful servant lost an eternal inheritance of lordship status and a deep abiding fellowship with His Lord in the new Kingdom made ready for all who obey Him.
The unfaithful servant could offer no justifiable reason for not doing business as commanded. If he had lacked knowledge in business, trading, or investing the Lord’s money, all he had to do was ask the Lord for wisdom in faith, and would have received plenty of sage advice. (Matt. 7:8 & James 1:5-8)
In fact, the Lord even reasoned with the slothful servant that he could have deposited the money in the bank to make interest on it. (Matt. 25:27) Implying that the servant had sufficient business sense about banking to at least make some profit on the Lord’s money. Had he done so, his Lord would have valued him as a faithful steward as the others.
Considering these Parables in light of Christians today, many Christians handle money earned through righteous labor, much like the unfaithful servant. Many Christians listen to and obey the voice of the devil, rather than the Lord Jesus Christ in handling money. That is, they view the money they earn from their place of employment as their own, and not the Lords!
Perhaps many of you listening to me today, or reading this Sermon online, think the same way—that the pay checks you receive from your employer are yours alone to do with as you please. Most Christians receive their earnings in the form of a pay check and immediately go and decide, based on their own budget, how to allocate the money. This is exactly what the devil wants Christians to do.
The enemy is thrilled when Christians decide to make money decisions using their own understanding, so he can tempt and lead them down the never ending paths of lust for things, overspending, which in turn leads to debt, financial lost, misappropriation, lack, insufficiency, and bankruptcy. (Prov. 3:5)
But, I am here to tell you, thinking that the money you earn from employment belongs to you, is wrong thinking! As I said earlier, the money you earn and every good thing in life you receive comes from God, and belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Col.1:16-18)
News Flash, Breaking News:
You belong to God, the work you do on the job is unto the Lord, and the pay you receive from the work belongs to God!
God has made you the steward—the money manager of God’s money. The Lord graciously places the money in your hands from righteous labor to do with as the Lord pleases. When you handle money as the Lord pleases, the more wealth will flow into your hands for you to enjoy, and be a blessing to others using the principals of the Kingdom of God.
Of course, the Lord knows that in this world you need food, clothing, shelter, and so forth; and it takes money to pay for these things. But the born-again believer’s financial budget, as well as in all matters of life, must always start with God. God expects you to be prudent with money, to put Him first, and not over obligate yourself so you can have money after expenses to save, invest, and do other business enterprise.
Think for a moment about how you receive pay for your labor at work. When you receive your pay check, do you ask the Lord, in faith, how the money should be used to do business, with the intent of maximizing the return on investment for the Lord?
Have you seriously taken time out to consider that when the Lord returns, that you, His steward, will have to give an account of how you handled the Lord’s money placed in your hands? If the Lord should return today, what will He say about your financial stewardship?
I say to the entire body of Christ, we must get our financial houses in order. If we have not been faithful stewards of the Lord’s money, we should repent right now. We need to immediately change the way we think about money, and obey the Lord in how we handle money. If we have not been profitable in business, and brought forth increase in savings and investments we need to start today!
The Lord is calling on every born-again Christian to “Occupy,” to go and do business until He returns. For most of our lives, God through the Holy Ghost, has been revealing business ideas (for profit and non-profit businesses) to us through dreams, visions, words of wisdom that have gone unattended.
Even now, you can remember all sorts of business ideas that have been given to you by God to launch. God-inspired and planted passions in your heart to start businesses, and/or invest money in the stock market, bonds, real estate, insurance, and other financial mechanisms. But, you have allowed the devil to talk you out of it—tempting you with thoughts of not being smart enough, strong enough, or having sufficient resources to engage in business successfully.
Just as a small example, I have been around Church folks nearly all my life. No one can fry fish, chicken, make breads, pies, cakes, biscuits and teas—you name it, like the Saints. You know it for yourself. We taste each other’s cooking and say, “You need to start your own business.” But, a business never developed out of it and a potential fortune was forgone.
Let me also say, if you at one time, or are presently, stepping out on faith and obeying God to start your own business or invest, the devil will place people in your life who will try to push you down and off your mountain. They are called dream killers!
Yes, everyone who God sends out to do business has a dream killer—or two or three in their life. People who are with you on your venture, but were never for you. They are thieves appointed by the enemy with a mission to steal, and to kill, and to destroy the business God has given you to do, and to block you from reaching your wealthy place in Christ Jesus.
They come with discouragement, division, and disagreements in an attempt to get you to stop doing business and maximizing wealth for the Lord. They long to see you fall, fail, and give up and quit. But just see and know that their aggression toward you, is nothing more than a form of persecution that will ultimately elevate you to promotion and success. Just continue to walk in love towards them, pray for them, be kind, and continue to do business!
Inquire of the Holy Ghost to give you wisdom and lead and guide you into business as He sees fit. Ask the Holy Ghost to teach you how to build wealth for Jesus Christ. Every pay day, the devil comes with alternate plans for how to use money in opposition to how the Kingdom of Heaven operates. Rebuke him and his alternate plans. Set yourself to have faith in God only. Trust only in the Lord.
Proverbs 3: 5-10. It reads:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst forth as new wine.
Starting today, make it your ardent zeal to always honor the Lord with the money He gives to you by obeying His commandment to do business until His return. God has been calling Christians for many years to start businesses, apply for new jobs, explore other enterprises, to enroll in college, or trade schools to prepare for future success.
Most assuredly, God has told His people to be profitable with money, especially in investing money in real estate, the stock market, insurance vehicles and other financial tools. Whether you have a little or a lot of money in your pocket, God expects you to multiply it as you have been engineered for profitability. If you lack wisdom in any area of business, ask God in faith for wisdom, and He will liberally give you the direction needed to be successful.
Don’t let the devil pick your pocket and steal your future inheritance in glory by Christ Jesus. We are destined to rule over cities, governments, and nations in the new heaven and earth that Jesus Christ will establish when He returns. How you serve as stewards over the Lord’s money in this life, will ultimately determine how you reign with Him forever. Amen!
