Sermon Part 3: "The New Creature in Christ Sees New Things Prepared from the Foundations of the World!"
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and after the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross, by the mercy, grace, and kindness of God, the world has been given into the hands of born-again Christians to rule and reign in life with Jesus Christ. (Rom.5:17) Amen to the glory of God!
Introduction/Review
Good Morning to the ever-persevering Saints of God who are watching and waiting with great anticipation for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ! If this hope (expectation) abides in you, you are as “pure” as Jesus Christ is seated at the right-hand of God the Father. (I John 3:3) I love it: You are as holy as Jesus is!
Our teachings thus far in the Series have been truly amazing! As born-again Christians, the "New Creatures" in Christ, we are brand-new people on the inside (in our sanctified hearts) that never existed before in the earth. (II Cor. 5:17) We are far superior to God’s first man Adam before he committed high-treason in the Garden of Eden. Let's be clear, as born-again Christians, we have not been reformed, rehabilitated, or re-educated through global institutions and societies. Nor have we, as the world would say, "Turned over a new leaf."
Rather, we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. (Eph.1:7) We are born of the water and of the Spirit. We have been translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son Jesus Christ, and have been made spiritual kings and priests unto God. (Rev.1:5-6) Most importantly for this Series to consider, we have been made to see all "new things" so that we may reign and rule with Jesus Christ on earth! (John 3:5, Col.1:12-13, II Cor. 5:17 & Rom. 5:17)
Now that we are in Christ, we see the things of this world from a completely different perspective than before.
We see God in "Everything." When we look at nature, the environment, lands, seas, and clouds above—everything contained therein; we point to it and say, “God did it!”
We know that God created all things for His glory, and we stand in awe and say, "how great thou art!" Indeed, the Lord’s work is marvelous in our sight. (Ps.118:23)
Moreover, we know by Scripture and the witness of the Holy Ghost within us, that all things in heaven, earth, and beneath the earth, visible and invisible were made by Jesus Christ and for Jesus Christ. We know that without Jesus—take away Jesus—and nothing would exist! (Col.1:16-18)
Take a moment now, and just look around you, and then examine yourself, and appreciate that everything you see was made by Jesus Christ, and for Jesus Christ. Yes, this is how God wants you to live and value life; from a godly perspective. In fact, we should declare with the voice of triumph saying:
"I am made by Jesus Christ, and for Jesus Christ, and without Jesus Christ, I would not exist."
When you know that Jesus Christ is the original maker and owner of all things, immediately your heart and thoughts are humbled to have the highest regard and respect for the things you see. For example, this ink pen that I'm holding in my hand is made by Jesus Christ, and for Jesus Christ, and I have a high regard for it.
My desire is to use this ink pen in ways that are pleasing to the Lord and bring glory to His name. Whatever I'm writing—a Sermon, letter, email, or text—I do it with the understanding that Jesus Christ is the original maker and owner of the ink pen. My heart is humbled and I must be watchful not to use the ink pen as an instrument of unrighteousness, to fabricate lies, deceptions, write evil words, to falsify documents, and so forth. Do you understand me?
What I am saying to you is everything belongs to Jesus Christ, and because we love God, we are to have an ardent zeal to be “faithful stewards” over the things of the earth, and especially for those things God has entrusted into our personal stewardship. (I Cor. 4:2) When we have a godly perspective toward material things, we work to keep everything decently and in order because they belong to God. This also applies to our human bodies, as the body is the temple of God, and we are not our own. (I Cor. 3:16-17)
Also, when tribulation comes and seeks to attack and destroy the beautiful things God has placed in the earth, including our human bodies, by the Spirit of the Life and Mind of Jesus Christ as He is seated at the right hand throne of God the Father, expressed through the Holy Ghost, we have been graced and empowered to fix and restore damaged and destroyed things, as well as people anew! (John 14:12 & Mark 9:23, 11:22-23, Deut. 7:15, & I Pet. 2:24)
Therefore, as the sons of God, we are not to be timid and fearful about walking in the supernatural, with Christ Jesus. We are co-laborers with Jesus Christ to make this world we live in a better place. (I Cor. 3:9 & II Tim.1:7)
Oh praise God, before I go any further, I feel an unction of prayer coming over me.
Let me say that today, within the body of Christ, Christians need boiling hot prayer to move from being full of fear, doubt, and unbelief about doing the works of Jesus Christ (miracles). We need prayer that Christians would come in and dwell in the Spirit, where the feast of the Lord is going on. In prayer, we need to rebuke naturalism, which is permeating throughout many of our Churches, and turning many Christians into religious nomads who produce no fruitful works unto God Almighty. For what good does it do to say we believe in Jesus Christ, and call ourselves His followers, and yet have no works that resemble His works? (John 14:12)
Listen to the words of Jesus Christ at John 15:1-5.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
We must ask ourselves, are we abiding in the vine and bearing an abundance of fruit delectable for the Lord?
So let us pray now. Heavenly Father, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We give you thanksgiving and praise from the abundance of our hearts that you have reconciled us, and made us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Lord your Word says we are to walk by faith and not by sight—that we are to “live” by faith, as we have been declared the just.
At Jeremiah 33:3 you told us to call on you, and you promised to answer and “show us great and mighty things that we know not of.” Great and mighty things from eternity! Lord, we are exceedingly excited to see these great and mighty things! Above all else on earth, we desire to see, taste, experience, and share with the world God-good things so that the world might know that Jesus Christ is your only begotten Son and you are the only true and living God.
Yea Oh God, and we believe all those things that you reveal to us belong to us. If we can see it in the Spirit, we know we can receive it, and shall have it in full manifestation! As such, we ask that the Holy Ghost, who knows the Life and Mind of Christ would enlighten and teaches us all things—teach us of the former days, of things present, and most importantly teach us about the future—show us things to come, according as they are ordained by you before the world began.
Also, Lord as we behold these things in the Spirit, strengthen and keep us from fainting and shrinking away from these wonderful things prepared for us to walk in. Reveal to each of us, the "Overcomer," and “Conqueror,” mentality you have established in our hearts. Help us to see that the “Greater One” (Jesus Christ as seated at the right-hand of God the Father) abides in our hearts and that nothing can stop us from reigning in this world. Help us to know that Satan and every demonic influence is under our feet.
Lastly, Holy Ghost, we require to be infused with boldness and confidence to clothe ourselves in the Spirit of the Life and Mind of Jesus Christ as He is seated at the right-hand throne of God the Father, including the Lord’s Character, Behavior, and Conduct as we inquirer about things in the Spirit this day and forevermore. Amen.
Born-Again Christians Search, See, and Seize the Eternal Things of God
As New Creations in Christ, we not only see God in our physical and natural surroundings, but we have the unique ability to see "unseen things,” the eternal things of God. God wants us to enjoy searching, seeing, and taking possession of the secret things of God. This is what we want to focus on in this Session, “searching, seeing, and seizing things” in the Spirit, as they have all been prepared by God for us to walk in. (I Cor. 2:9-10)
Through Jesus Christ finished works on the cross, God has reconciled the world to Himself, and God has given to us the ministry and Word of reconciliation/restoration to share with every person in the world. (II Cor.5:18-19) When we received Jesus Christ as Lord, we became heirs of God and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. (Rom.8:17) Thanks be unto God, everything that Jesus Christ owns, we share in common. (Rom. 8:32) We have equality with God in Christ Jesus and the very Life of God abides in us.
By God’s mercy and grace, anyone who would believe in Jesus Christ, can receive the Life of God, and do the works of God pre-ordained from the foundations of the world. (Eph. 2:10) I believe God wants to reveal to the Saints of God, how to go about turning this sinful world, from upside-down, to right-side up as we see the day of the Lord approaching. I believe God wants born-again Christians to do great signs and wonders before the eyes of the people of this world, to draw them to Christ in these last days, as God desires for no one to perish. (II Pet. 3:10-13)
The Apostle Paul wrote that we are not even to give serious regard to the natural things, for they are temporary and subject to change. Rather, we are to behold and delight in the unseen things which are eternal. (II Cor. 4:18) We please God when we diligently delight in the things unseen—when we see the things prepared by God for us before the foundations of the world through the Holy Ghost. (Heb.11:6)
As the Saints of God, we are to know that nothing is impossible to us! (Mark 9:23) Healings, Exorcisms, Nature miracles, Restoration miracles of the dead, Remuneration of Miracles (freely we have received Spiritual Authority, freely we must give it away to others) and Special and Extraordinary Miracles beyond even those recorded in the Bible.
Now, wrap your brains around this. God in Christ Jesus has placed all things into our hands. At I Corinthians 3:22-23, the Apostle Paul wrote:
Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s and Christ is God’s
Praise God, we belong to and abide in God in Christ Jesus and the world and everything in it has been made subject unto us—life, death, things in the present, and things in the future—all belong to born-again Christians, the New Creatures in Christ.
I don’t know how more plainly and clearly God can get the point across to His people—that the world and even death itself belongs to us, and that the present and future belongs to us! We, therefore, hold the world and all things contained in it, is in our hands!
It’s not just that God is in control of the world, but we have been graced by God with control of all things—and we can search, see, and lay hold of these truths in the Spirit and bring them all into physical manifestation!
So I beg you. I beseech you. PLEASE do not go through your Christian journey, as many Christians do, saying things like: “God is only in control,” that “I cannot search and see in the Spirit, and that such things cannot be done.” This deeply contradicts Scripture! (Reference: Rom. 8:14, II Cor. 5:7, John 3:5, II Cor. 5:17, I John 2:20 & Heb.11:6)
Practicing Searching and Seeing in the Spirit Leads to Greater Spiritual Vision and Opportunities for Manifestations in the Earth
God always abundantly rewards those who seek after Him and His ways of doing things. (James 4:8 & Gal. 6:8) When we give our whole attention to God, we will always find Him and discover the beauty of the Lord and see the great and mighty things we know not of. (Jer. 29:13 & Matt. 7:7-8) I especially love seeking God through His Word and prayer because of the guarantee of promise Jesus made at Mark 4:24. Jesus said these words:
And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
If we will make the effort to search and seek after the things of God in the Spirit, God will measure it back to us greater than the effort we put forth. In other words, the more we practice searching and seeking in the Spirit, greater spiritual vision will be given to us from the Holy Ghost. The more we see, the more we know, and the more we know, the more we can do from the Spirit in this world.
Now, if you happen to be a person who struggles with seeing in the Spirit, or have never taken the opportunity to delve into the Spirit, let me help improve your spiritual vision at a very elementary level to get you started. Here we go.
At John 6:63, Jesus Christ was recorded as saying, “My Words are "spirit and they are life." (John 6:63) Repeat after me please:
“Jesus’s Words are spirit and life.”
Jesus Christ’s Words are "Spirit," and if we listen and take heed to His Words, they take us into the realm of the Spirit, where we can see things that pertain to the Kingdom of God. (Rom. 14:17) Let’s also remember that the things we see in the Spirit are eternal, and are all created by Jesus Christ, and for Jesus Christ.
So consider these two examples of how you can see in the Spirit. Let’s read Mark 16:15-18.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Jesus Christ commanded that His disciples go into the world and preach the gospel to every person. Jesus also promised, among several other miracles mention in Verse 18, believers in Him would lay their hands on the sick, and the sick would recover.
Jesus’s Words are Spirit and life. First, meditate on Jesus’s command to preach the gospel to every person—just as Jesus is seated at the right-hand of God the Father. Now, from your heart, can you see yourself (imagine) preaching the gospel to people? Tell me, what do you see?
Second, Jesus promised that those who believe in Him and preach the gospel, would also heal sick people by the laying on of hands. Can you see yourself laying hands on sick people as Christ is seated at the right-hand throne of God, and healing coming forth? Tell me what do you see?
If the answer is yes, congratulations, you are seeing in the Spirit. You may be thinking of this as imagination, produced by your brain. Of course your brain is involved in this exercise, but it is not the primary and original source of the imagination.
The imagination started in your born-again "heart," where the Spirit of the Life and Mind of Christ abides, and the Holy Ghost the testifier of Christ, quickly produced the images that are communicated through your soul to your brain. This is the faith of Jesus Christ at work in you, as you behold—see yourself preaching the gospel and healing the sick.
Understand please, that not only are you seeing in the Spirit, but also the images you see, have the "power" to bring forth “new life”—to quicken dead things to life because Jesus Christ is the life-giver. (John 14:6) Glory be to God! These things you see pertain to the Kingdom of God, they were made by Jesus, and for Jesus, before the world began. And, we are to seize them/take hold of them—and go and do them as the Holy Ghost leads.
Let's take another example of seeing in the Spirit. Jesus commanded that we "love our enemies," as referenced at Luke 6:27-28. It reads:
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Simply powerful! Jesus commanded all those who were listening to Him to “love their enemies.” Jesus recognized that not everyone who was in ear-shot of Him, had ears to hear Him. Just like in Jesus’s days on earth, many people today—even those who claim to be born-again Christians will not even entertain the thought of loving their enemies.
Instead, they choose to hate their enemies—allowing Satan to infiltrate their thought-life—to plot and carryout evil against their enemies, or to express their hatred by withdrawing themselves from their enemy, as though they never existed.
But for those of us who have chosen to listen and follow after Jesus’s Words, the Lord has commanded us to “LOVE OUR ENEMIES.” For certain if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you will have enemies. The world hated Jesus and it will also hate us. Everyone who has chosen the Lord and to live godly will suffer persecution. (Matt.10:22, John 15:18-25 & II Tim. 3:12)
Please repeat out-loud the Commandment of Christ in order for you to get a richer understanding of it. Jesus said we are to: “LOVE YOUR ENEMIES.”
When I read the Commandment, I hear the Lord saying, “We own His love as He is seated at the right-hand throne of God; and we are to be proactive in our love for our enemies, rather than be reactive only.” Umm, we are to have in reserve love for our enemies, to have constant and abiding love for our enemies at all times—never to let go of our love for our enemies, even though they intend our harm!
Given Christ’s love Commandment, tell me this: When you think about the person(s) who hate you and have wronged you, or their name comes up in conversation, or you see them walking down the street; what thoughts should flow from your heart, soul, and to your brain about them?
Answer “LOVE YOUR ENEMY.”
We are not only to audibly confess our love for enemies, but more importantly, show them acts of kindness that demonstrate our love. Oh, I pray that you are such a person willing to obey the Master’s Commandment. At I John 3:18, the Apostle John wrote:
Simply powerful! Jesus commanded all those who were listening to Him to “love their enemies.” Jesus recognized that not everyone who was in ear-shot of Him, had ears to hear Him. Just like in Jesus’s days on earth, many people today—even those who claim to be born-again Christians will not even entertain the thought of loving their enemies.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
We are to have prepared and give away to our enemies (those who hate, curse us, lie, and do all manner of evil against us) the love of Jesus Christ, as He is seated at the right hand of God the Father. Not only to love and forgive our enemies for their sins as Jesus bled suffered and died on the cross, but to love them as the exalted Christ that He is!
With the love of God, we are to lift our enemies up from the depths of Hades Hell into the palatial pavilions of Heaven and throne room of God Almighty. For remember as Jesus is, so are we in this world. Remember that greater is God in us than he that is in the world.
If we say we love God, then we must also love our brother—we must love everyone, even if he or she happens to be our enemy. (I John 4:4, 17, 19-20)
The love of Christ quickened and joined us together and took us up to heavenly places in God in peace and unity, where we receive in perpetuity the exceeding riches of the Lord’s kindness. (Eph. 2:5-7) Thus, we must strive to do the same for our enemies to elevate them to a heavenly state of mind and heart!
So imagine yourself giving away to your enemy the love of Jesus Christ as he is seated at the right hand of God. Glory be to God! From the throne room of Christ, can you see how Christ’s love causes you to give to your enemy great warmth of embraces and expressions of kindness?
You forget all about the evil things the person has done to you in the past, and pronounce the richest of blessings upon them for health and prosperity. You love your enemy so much that you want to share all that Jesus is in you, with them. In fervent prayer, you intercede for the person who hates you and does all manner of evil against you—bowing your knees and grabbing the horns of the altar of God, you cry out to God for your enemies’ complete salvation and restoration.
Can you see these things? If so, you are seeing in the Spirit, and these images are of power to produce life—to bring reconciliation and restoration to relationships, and to show to the world what Christ’s love can do! Seize these images and make them your own in how to love your enemy—loving them as Christ loved you!
Moreover, the more you meditate on the images of you loving your enemy as Christ is seated at the right-hand of God, the Holy Ghost will show you and teach you about the actions to take to love your enemy (like Jesus)—these things are from eternity and pertain to the Kingdom of God. (John 16:13-15, Rom. 8:14, & I Cor. 2:9-12)
Lastly, when you go and take actions that correspond with the images seen in the Spirit, you are "walking" (practicing) in the Spirit, and are as perfect at God! (Matt. 5:44-48) In like manner, this is how Jesus ministered in the earth. He only did what He heard and saw from God in the Spirit. (John 5:19 & 12:49) The Spirit of God only waxed brighter, and the power of God intensified in Him as He walked in the Spirit. (Acts 10:38)
In closing, by the unmerited favor of God, God wants you to search, see, and seize the things God has prepared for us in the Spirit, according to the Life and Mind of Jesus Christ as He is seated at the right hand of God the Father. All we have to do is yield our members unto God, and let the Holy Ghost lead us into all righteousness, and He will reveal to us the works of God to be displayed in the earth. (Rom. 6:13-22)
Remember again the Apostle Paul wrote at II Cor. 4:18 these words:
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.i
The eternal things of God, prepared by God from the foundations of the world, and retained in the Spirit, belong to us; the sons of God. They have all been so graciously given to us by God in Christ Jesus. But, we must learn to follow after God as dear children to bring them all into physical manifestation. We must not be afraid to act like our heavenly Father throughout the world. But, be bold in using two very important ingredients that we will talk about next week: faith and love to turn the world from upside down, to right-side up. For those that know their God shall do great exploits in the earth. (Dan.11:32)
Let’s give thanks unto God for the marvelous Word of God engrafted into our souls today. Amen.
