Part 5: “The Person Whose Mind Is Stuck on God, Will Have God’s Welfare Stuck on Them!”

Good morning and Praise the Lord, all ye people! Serve the Lord with gladness of heart. Here is an awesome quote for you.

“You learn something every day if you pay attention.” – Ray LeBlond.

So let’s pay very close attention to today’s Message, because God is going to teach you something new and utterly amazing. Examine with me Isaiah 26:3.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose

mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth

in thee.

My, my, my, what a powerful and precious promise we have from the Lord. If you keep our mind on “God,” then God will set His mind on you!

At James 4:8, it says, “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you…” In other words, get your mind stuck on God, and God will get stuck on you. And, when God is stuck on you, as Isaiah 26:3 says, God will keep you in “perfect peace.”

Peace in the Hebrew language is the word “Shalom,” and means “welfare: perfect health and prosperity.” When your mind is stuck on God, God’s Perfect Peace (Welfare) will be stuck on your life forever!” Glory be to God!

It may surprise you to know that the word, “mind” in Isaiah 26:3, is the Hebrew word, “yetser,” and conveys the meaning of a “frame,” “a thing framed,” or “imagination.” Thus, when your mind is stayed on God, Isaiah was saying that God will reveal to your heart (the soul of the mind)—a Godly image of a thing in a picture.

God wants you to center your thoughts on the thing in the picture, because the thing you see belongs to your health and prosperity. By faith in Jesus Christ, when you boldly decree with your mouth the image you see in your heart, God will surely bring it to pass. Now, that is what I call super awesome!

This lets you know that your future is assembled by what you see in your heart and boldly confess with your mouth! No person, nor thing in this world can stop you from living in divine health and prosperity if you keep your mind stayed on God!

Moreover, you can have things that belong to your future today if you keep your mind fastened on God! With God, we live in a now faith moment, in which He is able to change your water to wine before your very eyes! (Heb.11:1 & John 2:1-11) You just need to be willing to do whatever you hear and see God telling you to do from the heart.

Meditating on “God” is one of the highest forms of communication we have with God. Yet, so many born-again Christians spend little or no time daily meditating on “God,” and the Word of God. Christians allow the cares of this world, cell phones, television programming, busy work schedules, social agendas, and children’s soccer practices and games to usurp and replace time spent alone quietly meditating on “God,” and His Word.

Even many Christians who are more diligent in spending time with God, who devote significant time to prayer, fasting, praising God in song, and studying the Word of God—do not make meditation an integral part of delighting themselves in the Lord.

However, the next set of Scriptures give witness that God desires to communicate with us through meditation. Jeremiah 29:11 says God thinks thoughts towards us, and all of His “thoughts are of peace, and not evil to give us an expected end.” Daily, God is transmitting thoughts of health and prosperity to you, but are you placing yourself in a position to hear His thoughts?

III John 2 says, God’s highest ambition toward us is that we prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper in the things of God. Soul prosperity is nourished by sowing the Word of God into your heart, but also through the Holy Ghost speaking to your soul words of wisdom concerning your prosperity and health. But again, is it your daily habit to just sit still and listen to the Holy Ghost speak to you?

Yea, even now I hear the Lord saying cease from your busy time, and “be still and know that I am God!” (Ps. 46:10) When we still ourselves God will reveal Himself to us. This week, I was in meditation and the Lord said to me, “I am your bridge over troubled water.” My God, throughout the body of Christ, I wonder what our Church Services would be like if routinely as an assembly, we would take time-out and just get still and earnestly think on only “God.”

At I Thessalonians 5:23, the Apostle Paul prayed that the “very God of peace” (health and prosperity) sanctify us wholly and preserve us blameless in spirit, soul, and body until Jesus Christ returns to rapture His Church. (I Thess. 5:23)  Our entire beings have been set apart by God for the reason of making us healthy and prosperous. Through meditation, God wants us to live in such a way that we never need to apply for a loan or have to take a sick day off from work. Praise God!

However, instead of meditating on “God,” mankind has come up with many forms of meditation to try to help people achieve a state of peace, pain relief, and relaxation. Even many Christians have been coaxed and bamboozled by society into practicing man-made forms of meditation, such as: Mindfulness meditation, Spiritual meditation, Focused meditation, Movement meditation, Mantra meditation, Transcendental meditation, Progressive relaxation, and Loving Kindness meditation.

Why can’t we just do what God says and keep our minds stayed on Him? God is our creator. God is the only One who knows how to reach and remain in a total state of peace and serenity. The way in which a man should go is not within himself, only God knows the direction in which he should travel to find real and lasting peace. (Jer. 10:23)

Christians should never practice any form of meditation other than on “God Almighty,” and His Word, through Jesus Christ. (Ex. 20:3-5 & I John 5:21) Every other form of meditation is steeped in self-centeredness. Moreover, man-made forms of meditation will not prevent a person from yielding to sin. In fact, these forms of meditation open the door to temptation, the occult, idolatry, and demonic oppression and possession.

On the other hand, when you meditate on “God,” you cannot commit sin because you are not thinking about sinning. In God, there is no darkness at all—neither can He be tempted with evil, nor tempt any man! (I John 1:5 & James 1:13) Truly, when you walk in the Spirit it is not possible to fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal. 5:16) God on purpose will keep you from falling, failing, and present you faultless, now and forevermore. (Jude 24-25)

Thus, keeping your mind stayed on “God,” causes you to receive “Perfect Welfare” manifested in your life—to daily experience the eternal Peace of Jesus Christ. (John 14:27) God’s Peace is polar opposite of the world’s peace, which is temporal, superficial, and subject to change as soon as trouble and chaos knocks at the door of the hearts of men.

A fore-shadowing of God’s Perfect Welfare for the Church, and every born-again believer, can be seen, in the Scriptural account of when God called Joshua to succeeded Moses to lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land. Joshua 1:8 reads,

This book of the law shall not depart out of

thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein in

day and night, that thou mayest observe to do

according to all that is written therein: for then

thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then

thou shalt have good success.

Notice, God told Joshua that meditating only on His Word day and night, would thereafter cause Joshua to make his way prosperous and have good success. Obviously, meditating on “God” must open the eyes of the mind of the soul to enable us to see and hear things, that if followed will bring us into divine health, profitability, success, and satisfaction in life.

Examine the writing of King David regarding the man blessed of God at Psalm 1:1-3. It reads,

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel

of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornfull. But his delight

is in the law of the Lord; and in his Law doth he

meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree

planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his

fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Wow, when we meditate on “God” and His Word day and night, everything that we set our hands to do prospers—no matter the state of the economy, environment, or political climate!

Examine the following Scriptures and notice how diligence in meditating on “God” and His Word, causes God’s Welfare to get stuck on you. (Phil. 4:6-9, Ps. 4:3-8, 49:3, 77:10-12,  119:15-19, 119:148-149, 119: 97-99, 143:5, Prov. 4:20-22, & Col. 3:1-4)

Meditating on “God” and His Word are integral to worship and fellowship with Him. (John 4:23-24) Indeed, as a practice, the hour has come that you should set aside (an hour per day as often as you can) to sit still and meditate on “God.” Daily, God wants to have heart to heart talks with you, to reason together with you, and show you great and mighty things you know not. (Jer. 33:3)

Moreover, daily, God examines the meditations of our hearts and words we speak. Many Christians know or have heard of Psalm 19:14. But have you diligently pondered (meditated) on the words in the verse? It reads,

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations

of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord

my strength, and my redeemer.

It is simply amazing to me growing up in church, that every Sunday at benediction of the service, we would all recite the aforementioned verse. Yet, I have heard very little preaching and teaching on it.

This powerful verse shows that meditation is the key to receiving everything that pertains to our redemption in Jesus Christ manifested in the natural realm. The Psalmist David, humbly petitions God to allow the words from his mouth and deep thoughts (imaginations) of the soul be accepted in the sight of God.

First, just the thought that God sees and hears all of the meditations of our hearts and words we speak is super sobering and exciting at the same time! But also remember, that we are born-again Christians living under the New Covenant with God in Jesus Christ.

As such, as we have learned in this Sermon Series, our hearts have been completely regenerated (spirit, soul, and mind). Through the Circumcision of Jesus Christ, our hearts and minds have received the Laws of God, including the Law of the Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:1-2 & Heb.10:12-17) Therefore, in an eternal state, God continually finds the meditations of the hearts of born-again Christians acceptable to Him.

Thus, when we turn our human brains and thoughts diligently toward “God,” the Holy Ghost reveals imaginations (things in pictures) to our hearts (mind of the soul), and when we give voice to those things that we both see and hear in our hearts—God judges them as acceptable in His sight.

Next, God our “Redeemer” with strength, wisdom, and power, will bring the words we speak about the things we imagine into physical manifestation. Thus, we can say that the words of our mouths and meditations of the hearts become decrees and declarations of our redemption!

Every imagination of God we see in our hearts has already been purchased for us by the blood of Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:32 & I Pet. 1:3) So we can confidently give voice to it with our mouths. As spiritual kings and priests unto God, we are the Redeemed of the Lord, therefore, the Bible says we are to “say so.” (Psalm 107:2)

So in summary of Psalm 19:14 we can say: Meditating on “God,” reveals Godly-imaginations of things pertaining to our Perfect Welfare (health and prosperity), and when we speak those things we see out loud, “God” our Strength and Redeemer will bring them to pass so that we live in a steady state of Perfect Welfare.

Now, I have covered a lot of material on meditating on “God.” But, I do not want us to be hearers only of the Word of God, but also doers. (James 1:22-26) Also, the Bible tells us to “prove all things” and hold on tight to everything that is good. (I Thess. 5:21)

As such, together in this service, I would like for us to begin practicing meditating on “God.” My prayer is that from this day forward you will make it your life-style to meditate on “God” all day long. If you want God and His Perfect Welfare: health and prosperity stuck on you, then you must meditate on “God” and the Word of God day and night.

Let me get you started with an example of how I meditate on “God” daily. This is practice in meditating on “God.” Of course you will need to spend far more time than what we can a lot here for meditation. God is to be searched with your whole heart. (Jer. 29:11-14 & Heb.11:6)

My experience may not be exactly as yours when you meditate on “God,” but it should be similar in many respects. I pray this simple revelation I discovered while meditating on “God” will bless you with earnest motivation to get stuck on God, so God can get stuck on you with His Perfect Welfare.

So here we go. For the next 5-minutes get quiet and still. (Prov. 46:10)  Take a moment and cast all of your cares upon Jesus Christ for He cares for us. (I Pet. 5:7) Be reminded of our New Covenant with God, which provides for us a new and living way to have immediate access to God who dwells within us—through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Heb.10:19-22)

Now, only think about “God.” As God speaks to your heart, (in the person and voice of the Holy Ghost) write down what you hear Him say. Sometimes hearing the voice of the Holy Ghost can be audible, but most often He makes an impression upon your heart, whereby you have a knowing or assurance from God. Also, as God speaks to you, if you can see images write them down as you can.

(For the next 5 minutes, think about “God.”)

Thank you, we are now back in session. First, let me ask, wasn’t that a wonderful and peaceful time of meditation? Now, think back on your meditation session with “God.”

As you started thinking about “God,” did you notice that immediately God drew near to you? What I mean is, as you started thinking about “God,” God started talking to you. During the meditation session, it’s likely that God talked to you about three basic things: (1) Who He is, (2) His love toward you and/or (3) Your relationship with Him.

When I first started earnest daily meditation—keeping my mind stayed on “God”—I jotted down what God said to me and showed me by the Holy Ghost. I would like to share it with you. As I thought about God, the Holy Ghost said this to me:

I am the Great I Am, and there is no other beside

Me. I Am the Creator of All things in heaven, earth,

and beneath. I am all knowing, ever present, and

all powerful.

I love you Darryl beyond that which is possible for

you to fully comprehend. Therefore, I chastise you

with my Word so you can walk up-right before me in truth.

You were from the beginning predestinated to be my

Son, and now you walk in son-ship through my only

begotten Son Jesus Christ. Behold! I AM your Father

and you are My son.

At the point where God was talking to me about our relationship is where I received revelation knowledge. God made me to know that He is my Father and I am His son. Then, in the mind of my soul, I saw this image—these words in a frame: “God is my Daddy.” Or perhaps another way of understanding this, I had a knowing in my heart the words, “God is my Daddy.”

From this picture, God continued talking to me—relating to me as a Father with His son. He said:

Just as a natural father desires his child to bear

their image and likeness. So I also have made you

Darryl to bear my image and likeness in the Spirit.

All that I am and All that I own, I freely share it

with you, just as I shared it with my Son Jesus.

As I Am the God of Peace (Welfare), I have given

you My Peace (Welfare: Health and Prosperity)

Since I am your Daddy, I have given to you the most

precious gift a father can give to his son. I have given

you the Holy Ghost. (Luke 11:9-13)

The Holy Ghost is my token to you, to show you

All of the things that I have freely shared with

Jesus and also given to you. (John 16:15)

Because you love me (quick to obey my commands

and boldly tell anyone about my Son Jesus, I have

revealed the deep things that belong to you. Things

that are freely given to you for your glory.

(I Cor. 2:9-12)

All things that I have freely given to you are

My passions and desires for your life to give

you health and prosperity. My passions are your

passions.

Behold, this burning passion and desire you have

for a church building. Notice it is an all

consuming desire in you—nothing else matters.

Be not afraid nor ashamed to ask anything of me.

Ask anything of Me, in my Son Jesus’ name and I

will do it for you! (John 14:13-15) When I say freely

given to you Darryl, I mean it!

Every picture that I have placed in your heart

belongs to your redemption! It was purchased

for you with the shedding of My Son Jesus’

blood. Say, speak your inheritance of a church

building paid in full out loud. Decree it and

it shall be established for you.

And stand loving, forgiving, and do good to every

person who portends and pretends to hate you.

These are all the things I heard and saw in my meditation on “God.” As I keep my mind stayed on “God,” the picture of the church God has for Exousia Ministries, Inc. will become clearer.  God will supply the wisdom, instructions, and resources to bring the imagination, from the spiritual realm into natural manifestation. The Bible declares that we are to delight ourselves in the Lord, and He will give us the desires (Godly imaginations) of our hearts. (Ps. 37:4)

In closing, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Perfect Peace, God’s Welfare, has been placed in our born-again hearts. Meditating on “God” and the Word of God day and night brings into view pictures of our redemption—of every good thing—Jesus Christ paid for in full on His cross.

The Holy Ghost earnestly desires to show and lead us into the manifestation of the imaginations we have in our hearts. The more we meditate on God and His Word, the clearer the images will become.

Be sure to keep “God” on your mind all day. The image(s) that God reveals to your heart, set your human brain and thinking on them. Write them down. Rehearse them continually all day long. Talk about the images with God. Study the Word of God concerning the images. Boldly and with confidence speak them out loud and before other saints of like precious faith, and they will come to pass. Amen—so let it be done in your life with great victory and praise unto our Lord Jesus Christ!
