Sermon: “Let God’s Righteous Cause Become Your Cause!”
February 15, 2026

Psalm 35:27 states, Let them shout for joy and be glad that favor my righteous cause; yea, let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified who hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
Good Morning Saints and Happy Sunday!
This Sermon is written in the form of a Letter to all born-again Christians who have chosen and decided to be among the “Them” mentioned in Psalm 35:27. To all those in Christ who know they have been purchased with the precious blood of Jesus, and are “God’s Property” (spirit, soul, mind of the soul, and body), open and receive this Letter written directly from God’s Heart to your heart. The Psalmist wrote, “Let them” shout for joy and be glad that favor my righteous cause.” So, in this Letter, I am specifically writing to the “Them Class” of born-again Christians, who are unwaveringly committed to “God’s Righteous Cause,” to bring to them great joy and gladness of heart!
If you are in this Zoom Meeting, or anyone else reading this Letter online and are not a part of the (“Them Class”), I earnestly pray and beg that the Spirit of God prick your hearts and minds while hearing or reading the Letter, such that you become fully persuaded to at once join the Them Class that favor God’s Righteous Cause.
Over my life-time in Christ, (spanning more than 60-years) I have come to realize, through interacting with Church Leaders and fellow born-again Christians across denominations and non-denominations that very few of us truly favor God’s Righteous Cause and are a part of the “Them Class.” Or, even in any real sense know of it. How about you Saints, do you favor “God’s Righteous Cause?” Have you made God’s Righteous Cause your very own “cause?” Are you even aware of what God’s Righteous Cause is? The general definition of a “Cause” is a principal, aim, or movement that, because of a deep and abiding commitment, a person is prepared to defend or advocate for it despite opposition, even if necessary unto death.
With great anticipation now I write by the Spirit of God guiding my hand the exhortation: Let God’s Righteous Cause Become Your Cause!”
Dear Saint of God, give the Lord permission over your whole-being, and then take full control of “His Righteous Cause,” and make it your righteous cause in this present world. When we take on “God’s Righteous Cause” and make it our own, it means that we choose and decide to align all of our personal motivations with God’s divine Purpose or Will. God’s Purpose for Mankind becomes our personal mission in life to see manifested in people throughout the world.
Understand first, that “God’s Righteous Cause” is His ultimate Purpose or Will for Mankind; His most beloved-creation. God’s Passion and great Loving Kindness towards Mankind is captured in Psalm 8:3-6, when David wrote:
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Take note of this Saint of God, God’s ultimate divine Purpose or Will (God’s Righteous Cause) for His beloved Creation-Mankind, is through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again on the third-day, that we might become “One with God,” and live life through Him, to experience the fullness of God! To those of us in the “Them Class,” God Commands us to make it our “righteous cause,” principal mission in life, to: (1) live our lives through God, so that others may see and know that God sent Jesus to be the Savior of the world (I John 4:14); (2) provoke our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to live by the same righteous cause; to be “One with God,” and live life through Him, to experience the fullness of God (Heb.10:24); and (3) explore the endless glorious depths and heights of the fullness of the nature of God in Christ Jesus to exercise exceedingly great dominion and authority over the earth and cosmos, placing the enemy Satan under our feet with God-ordained good works. (Eph.3:17-19)
Before the foundations of the world, God planned for Mankind to have dominion and authority over the earth. Well Saint of God, God has not changed; He never will. (Mal.3:6, Heb.13:8 & Jam.1:7) Right now, take your finger and point it at yourself and boldly say, “God has called and made me to have authority and dominion over the earth!” This is true “Prosperity” shout for joy, as God takes great pleasure when His people exercise their divine rights to call forth and see the precious Promises from the Holy Scriptures into physical manifestation.
“God’s Righteous Cause” became first known, and utterly needful in the earth, when Adam sinned against God. Remember in Genesis 2:16-17, when God took Adam and placed him in the Garden of Eden to dress and keep it, He gave to Adam these two Commandments:
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
As an act of Love and Protection for Adam, and then Eve who God created as a help meet for him, God told them they could freely eat of every tree of the garden, with exception of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God warned Adam not to eat of the fruit of it because he would surely see, taste, and experience spiritual death (separation from God) and natural death.
However, the Serpent which Satan had entered, beguiled Eve through deception and lies against God and His Commandments, turning their hearts away from God and assuring them they would not die, if they partook of the forbidden fruit. (Gen. 3:1-3) And, the two of them did partake of it. The couple’s choice and decision to disobey God and eat of the tree was a treasonous and wonton act of “selfishness.” (Gen. 3:6-13) Satan had successfully tempted Adam and Eve to become excessively concerned with fulfilling their own self-interests and desires for pleasure above God’s Authority, Wisdom, and Purpose for God’s Tree. The Tree and fruit of it did not belong to them, it belonged to God, and stealing fruit from it was an act of aggression against God’s Authority and Property. They placed the lust for a forbidden “thing” above their love and respect for God. Let me emphasize this again: A forbidden “thing” God had created, the couple had more love and respect for than their Creator.
The decision to prioritize their own needs above God, caused a “seismic shift” in Adam and Eve’s relationship with God. In the cool of the day, the couple heard the Voice of God walking in the Garden, and they hid themselves from the Presence of the Lord. God calling out to Adam, “where art thou;” but in guilt and shame they covered their perceived nakedness with fig leaves.

As God examined the hearts of Adam and Eve and questioned them about their sin-actions, as selfish and unremorseful people do, they shifted the blame and refused accountability for their actions. Adam blaming God, and Eve the Serpent for the transgression against God. (Gen.3:12-13)
Saint of God, examine the state of Adam and Eve’s relationship with God, now shattered and torn asunder. Before God created them, in union with the Holy Trinity, they were fearfully designed and made in the image of the Holy Threeness, and after their likeness. God had crowned them with honor and glory, blessed them and pronounced a benediction of Prosperity upon them saying: “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of sea, fowl of the air, and every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Gen.1:28)
But, with Adam’s sin, the “Oneness” he and Eve had enjoyed with God had vanished. The couple were spiritually and morally bankrupt; disconnected from the Spirit of the life giving source of the Holy God. King David wrote at Psalm 5:4, “For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.” Also, Habakkuk 1:3 states, “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity…”
Adam’s treasonous act against God lead to a “one-sided relationship:” God loving Adam and Eve, without love and obedience being returned. For no person can say that they love God, without sacrificial obedience to His Word. God seeking to worship with Adam and Eve in His Presence, but their hearts were far from desiring worship and fellowship with Him. The Light of Life infused in Adam’s heart at creation by God had become darkened and sullied with sin.
Thus, there was no other outcome that could occur besides the certainty of spiritual and physical death for Adam and all of Mankind after Him, as his heart had been sacked with a “self-will yielded to selfishness” guided by the enemy of God, Satan the source and embodiment of all wickedness. The couple’s sin would open the door for every human being born into this world to inherit an evil nature of sparring/scoffing/brawling with God and His Word; as well as continual warring among fellow-human beings in treachery, debauchery, and murder. Mankind can never have lasting peace and rest in his heart, house, or homeland while living in rebellion with His Holy Creator God.
Mankind inherently by Adamic nature is born into this world having a heart (spirit, soul, and mind of the soul) that is self-centered, self-motivated, self-interested, self-absorbed, and stubbornly selfish at heart! Yes, every person born into this world is prone to the display of an “idolatrous heart” that seeks after creation, more than the Creator God. A heart that seeks after a thing(s) more than God.
This is so true even today, as the people of the world, including most Christians idolize “things” like money, career, comfort, self, and political power, alongside influencers, celebrities, relationships, technology (cell phones), and social status; replacing God as the primary focus. Saint of God, “anything” or “person” that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God is considered an idol.
Adam’s disobedience caused sin and death to enter the world, making all of Mankind subject to physical death because everyone sins. The Apostle Paul recounted in Romans 5:14 that Death (sin) reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not committed the same kind of explicit sin like Adam’s transgression. Adam’s sin led to death for all humanity.

Regarding Adam and Eve, amongst the judgments God had placed on them for their sin, there was however a silver lining of mercy and grace provided by God, called the Messianic Promise. (Gen.3:15) God declared that a future “seed of the women” (a descendant) would ultimately defeat the Serpent (Satan) by crushing its head, while being wounded (bruised his heel) in the process. This being the first prophecy of the coming Savior, Jesus Christ who would overcome Satan, sin, and evil, and bring reconciliation and righteousness to Humanity through His sacrifice on the cross.
Also, Almighty God forever Faithful and Loving, made “coats of skins” for Adam and Eve to cover their sin and shame, to provide practical protection outside of Eden, and to symbolize a divinely provided atonement (foreshadowing Christ's Sacrifice). (Gen. 3:21) God’s unconditional act of Grace, contrasted with the couple’s insufficient man-made fig-leaf coverings, and signified God's ongoing care for them even though they had sinned against Him. It symbolized that God is the “only” Person who can forgive and remove the stain sin from Mankind.
Still, Adam and Eve had to be banished from the Garden of Eden. Given their selfish hearts, most likely they would have continued to lust after and consume the fruit of the forbidden tree. And, even more disastrous, in their sinful state they would have eaten from the fruit from the “Tree of Life,” which provided eternal life, (Gen.2:9) and redemption from sin and damnation for the couple and all of Humanity would have been impossible. So, God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden and at the East of Eden deployed Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned in all directions to “keep the way of the tree of life.” (Gen.3:22-24)
But thanks be unto God, that in the fullness of Time, God motivated by His great Love for the world, sent Jesus Christ His only begotten Son (known as the second Adam or New Adam) to redeem Humanity from sin so that all people might be reconciled unto God the Father. (John 3:16, Rom. 5:8-11, Gal. 4:4-5 & II Cor. 5:18-19) Jesus is the New Adam because He represents a “new beginning” for humanity, succeeding where the first Adam failed.
Jesus loved God the Father and “obeyed” Him in all things and led a sinless life on earth, while Adam disobeyed God in the single Commandment given to him by God. Therefore, Adam was the source of sin for all Humanity, but Christ was the source of grace for all Humanity. Humanity’s condemnation through Adam is “overcome” by justification through faith and new life through Jesus Christ. Paul wrote at Romans 5:17-20:
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Taken Verse by Verse, Paul contrasts Adam’s sin-action, with Christ obedience to God a far greater work of righteousness:
Verse 17: Through Adam's trespass, death reigned; through Jesus, believers receive "abundant grace and the gift of righteousness" and reign in life.
Verse 18: One man's (Adam's) sin led to condemnation for all people; one man's (Jesus') righteous act leads to justification and life for all people (for those who accept it).
Verse 19: Through Adam's disobedience, many became sinners; through Jesus' obedience, many will be made righteous.
Core Message: The Passage establishes two "family trees:" The condemnation inherited from Adam and the justification/life inherited through faith in Christ. Christ's work is considered far more powerful and abundant than Adam's transgression.
Saint of God, the day you heard the Gospel and accepted (repented of your sins, believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth) the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross, (His death and burial, and Resurrection from the Dead on the third-day and Ascension to the right-hand throne of God the Father) you became a “new creation” (a species that never existed before) in Christ Jesus; completely reconciled in God in Christ Jesus. (II Corinthians 5:17-19). Praise God, you became “One” with the Holy Threeness! God achieved His Righteous Cause (Purpose and Will)!
The old Adamic nature that prevailed within your heart and soul prior to receiving Christ as Savior and Lord, has past-away and is dead forever! You need to shout for joy right there Saint of God! Examine your heart, notice that your heart has been lit by the Light of Christ Jesus, and all self-centeredness, self-motivation, self-interest, self-absorption, and selfishness is gone! All hatred and malice of heart against God and His Word, and desire for idol worship (worship of things) has vanished! Within your born-again heart there is no “person” or “thing” in the world that you Love more than God in Christ Jesus! Yes, all “idolatry” has been swept away! There is nothing you did to earn or deserve your new-birth, God did it!

Yes, your old Adamic nature has died, meaning your born-again heart no longer lusts after the “things” of this world, neither does it have the opportunity to lay hold on them, any more so than a dead person would have. A dead person cannot lay hold of anything left behind in this life!
At Colossians 3:3, regarding all those who are in Christ, Paul wrote: “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Child of God, observe that as a new creature in Christ, your heart has been “completely” changed to “Love God,” to obey all of His Commandments, and your “interests” are now aligned with God’s Purpose and Will. In Christ, you only want what God wants! (II Cor. 5:17) There is full assurance that God and the Holy Threeness dwell in your heart; that God has sent forth the Spirit of Jesus Christ into your hearts crying, “Abba Father” because you are a son of Almighty God! (Gal.4:5 & I John 4:15) Moreover, because you have been made a “new creature” in Christ, God has given to you the “Nature of Christ,” which desires to “wholly” Love and worship God, and unconditionally love all people as Jesus Christ loves you!
This is your new life in Christ! Shout for joy and gladness that God has given to you His Nature! Magnify the name of Jesus Christ as your life is hidden in Him!
The Apostle John pinned at I John 4:19, “We love him, because he first loved us.” Umm, child of God, also check out what John also wrote at I John 4:7-9:
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
God sending Jesus to earth, His life, death, burial, Resurrection from the dead on the third day, and Ascension to the right hand throne of God were all divine Love actions that He undertook to accomplish “His Righteous Cause” (Purpose or Will for Mankind). That we might all be “One in Him” and “live life through Him!” The Apostle John wrote about it at I John 4:9. Let’s read it carefully.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
God, who is Love, demonstrated (proved) His great Love toward us when He gave Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Love is never satisfied through words only, but must be accompanied by works that prove one’s professed Love. When God sacrificed Jesus as a substitute for the sins of the world He proved His “unconditional” Love for all people: rich and poor, healthy and sick, old and young, bond and free, male and female, and Jew and Greek; so far removed are all of our sins, and God remembers them no more. (Heb.10:17)
Jesus’ finished works on the cross satisfied “God’s Righteous Cause” That we might all live through Him. God destined you to live through Jesus Christ so that you might “reign” with Him in life. God wants every born-again Christian to have control and victory over our circumstances and sins, and challenges in life. To rule with Christ on earth as His spiritual kings manifesting His divine Will and Influence over Satan and this world’s system; thereby operating in the Dominion and Authority as God Promised in union with the Holy Threeness from the foundations of the world. (Gen.1:26)
Dear Saint of God, God has Commanded that you live your life through Him. God’s Way of living life is diametrically opposed to the world’s way of living. God mandates that we live life according to our new nature, the “Nature of Christ,” which is practiced through the giving of “unconditional” Love and devotion to God the Father and “unconditional” Love to one another as Christ loves us. In contrast, the world’s (sinners) way of living life is through the “Adamic nature,” where one is motivated to get all they can through a human mindset (carnal thinking and actions) and human effort to satisfy selfish desires and ambitions.
Since we are to live life through Jesus Christ, we must forsake living life through the “carnality of the human brain,” which is hostile to God and His Ways, and instead, be led by the Spirit of God, and Word of God in the pathways of Love. (Rom. 8:7 & Eph. 5:2) We must pattern our lives after Jesus and “walk” in Love. Shout: “Walk in Love, Walk in God’s Righteous Cause.”
More specifically, the Scripture witnesses that “God is Love,” and God abides in you and you in Him; so that you might live your life through Him by loving God with your whole being (spirit, soul, and body) and loving all people, just as Christ loves you. At John 13:34-35, Jesus Christ told the disciples, “A new commandment I give unto, that ye love one another; as I have loved you that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if you have love one to another.”
Without Christ in our lives and giving us His Nature, it would be impossible to Love God and others as God Commands, as the Adamic sinful nature, with its preoccupation with “selfishness” would always surface to choke and block obedience with God’s Great Love Commandments. But, now that we are in Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost within us, we have been given the special grace of Christ to “unconditionally” Love others as Jesus Loves us. As a personal mission aligned with the Purpose and Will of God, we are to live life through God, so we may Love every person as Jesus loves us. This must become our Righteous Cause and great Mission in life; to Love every person on earth as Jesus Loves us!
Jesus Christ demonstrated “unconditional” Love for God by denying all self-interests, humbling Himself to God and becoming obedient, even unto death by means of the cross. (Php.2:8) In Jesus’ Public Ministry, God anointed Him with the Holy Ghost and with Power, and He went about doing “unconditional” good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil as God was with Him. (Acts10:38) While on the cross, persecuted, scorned, beaten, and marred more than any human being, Jesus prayed to God, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) While on the cross Jesus forgave and Promised Paradise to one of the two convicted thieves crucified with Him, after the man showed faith and asked to be remembered in His Kingdom and the Lord did. Saint of God, do you see Christ’s unconditional Love? For His Love is always “seen” by all men.
In Jesus’ teachings, according to the Principals of the Kingdom of God, He taught “radical” generosity, non-retaliation, and nonviolent resistance against injustice by willingly giving more than demanded. Remember at Matthew 5:39-41, Jesus taught the disciples to “…Resist not evil: but whosoever smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” He said if a man shall “compel you to walk one mile, go with him twain.” (Matt.5:41) If any man, “would sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.” (Matt. 5:40) Jesus said, “Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.” Do you see the unconditional Love of required of us by God?
Recorded at Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus preached radical and unheard of Love for enemies, in spite of their evil actions against us. For the “reward” of God is in the obedience to His Love Commands!
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Lastly, we see the exalted Christ seated at the right hand throne of God, as our Great High Priest, unconditionally forever making intercession us before God.

That Jesus intercedes for us means He acts as the mediator between God and Humanity, continually praying and advocating on our behalf to God. This is based on His sacrifice, Resurrection, and Position as the High Priest seated at God's right hand. His intercession includes securing our forgiveness, helping us overcome temptation, providing comfort, and ensuring we have access to God's Mercy and Grace.
Dear Saint of God, “God’s Righteous Cause” calls for every person who would believe on His Son Jesus, to be as “perfect” as God, to be filled with the fullness of God’s Love so they can Love others, including enemies even as God does. The Body of Christ can clearly see when each of us Loves and knows God, and have passed from death (The Adamic Nature) to life (Christ Nature), by how we treat one another, including our enemies and strangers.
We can see who is living according to “God’s Righteous Cause,” by how they Love one another. The Apostle John wrote at I John 3:14-17:
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
If we are truly born-again, full of the Holy Threesome, then we must become models of Christ’s unconditional Love among all people. John wrote, “…Because Jesus laid down his life for us, we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (I John 3:16) We must ask ourselves who are we sacrificing our lives for in obedience to the Love Command? To lay down one's life for a brother means “selfless sacrifice,” either literally dying for them or, more commonly, prioritizing their needs, well-being, and desires above one's own through consistent acts of service, time, and personal resources.
It's a form of unconditional Love modeled by Christ, and further described by Jesus in the “Parable of the Good Samaritan,” which teaches that our neighbors are everyone. Furthermore, the Parable teaches that even enemies and outcasts are deserving of our radical Love and compassion in helping those in need without prejudice, regardless of race, religion, or social status; going beyond mere superficial charity to reflect heart-felt self-sacrificing Love and embodying Jesus’ call to Loving all people. (Luke 10:25-37)
John’s description of how we are to perceive (understand and carry out) the Love of God in I John 3:17, harmonizes perfectly with the Good Samaritan Parable of Jesus:
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Also, John’s writing at I John 4:11-12, 20 provokes both inward examination of our hearts and outward reflection on our treatment of one another to test whether we are still “dead in sins” or “alive unto God,” He wrote:
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
In and across Christian Circles, are we loving one another as Christ loved us; regardless of denomination or Church affiliation, political affiliation, race, gender, or social status? The answer sadly is not hardly! God’s Love is not perfected in many Christians, and as a result they walk in fear, which has many torments.
At this past Thanksgiving Day dinner at my niece’s house, I talked with a Christian brother about the wide-gulf of division within and among Church denominations and non-denominational Churches. I mentioned that most Churches within a mile radius of each other have no active fellowship. I asked him to think about his own Church, which is a mega African-Church, and whether there is “active outreach” to fellowship with nearby Churches of different denominations. He said to his knowledge there was none.
Then, I challenged him, to immediately after the next Sunday Church Service, to personally “walk” across the street, or down the block, to the nearest Church and introduce himself and greet his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. He looked at me with eyes-wide open and full of fear, and said “I don’t know if I can do that Sir.” I said, ok take a few of your Church buddies and go and “walk” to the nearest Church and meet and greet the Christians there. He said he would, but he still appeared quite afraid.
Like many within the Body of Christ, my dear African brother’s Love was not yet “perfected” in him, and so “fear” shaped his “walk.” His carnal mine (human thinking) had risen up against God’s Commandment to “walk in love.” (Eph. 5:2) Fear was keeping him from taking God’s Righteous Cause to all people. Fear was keeping him from being obedient to God’s Love Command.
Finally I said to him, “If you are afraid to take the initiative to go and meet and greet fellow Christians who worship in different Churches, who also presumably are filled with the same Love of God in their hearts as you, how would you possibly be able to with boldness “walk” along the streets as Commanded by Christ and preach the Gospel to the lost? (Mark 16:15 & Luke 14:23) He was silent; as his carnal way of thinking had shut him down.
Now dear Saint, listen to the writing of John at I John 4:18:
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Most Christians, like the brother in the example, have never taken the initiative to extend God’s Love to other fellow Christians who are apart of other Christian affiliations because they fear. Most Christians never witness Christ to the lost and win them to God because of fear. Most Christians never preach the Gospel and heal the sick and cast out devils because they fear. Most Christians never see, taste, nor experience spiritual gifts because of fear. Most Christians never through the power of the Spirit forgive the sins of others, especially those who have wronged them, and then continue to do acts of kindness towards their haters because of fear.
Maybe you too are just like most Christians. While you may say you Love God with all of your heart, and I have no reason to doubt that you do, are you paralyzed by “fear” in living your life through God’s Love by giving unconditional love to all people, in the same way Christ loves you? If you have fear, it’s because the Love of God is not perfected in you.
John said “perfected love casts out fear,” which begs the question, how is God’s Love perfected in us? The simple answer is by becoming bold advocates of God’s Righteous Cause; meaning we must obey God’s Command, by “yielding” ourselves to His Righteous Cause and going and continually practicing, by the Spirit of God, unconditional Love to one another. Praying in the Holy Ghost, which sheds the Love of God throughout our hearts helps mightily in preparation of yielding and obeying God’s Love Commands. (Rom.5:5) Paul wrote at Romans 6:13:
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
God wants you to yield your whole-being to Him, and His Way of walking in Love. To yield unto God means to surrender, cease resistance, or give into His Way of Righteous Living, and allow Him to use you as an instrument of Love towards others. In other words, God wants you to let Him Love others through you! It’s not your “ability” God seeks to use, rather He requires your “availability” so He can work through you!
In the example of the brother in Christ membered to the African Church, if he would “yield” himself to God, in obedience to the Love Command of God (Heb. 10:25 & 35) and go and meet and greet fellow Christians at other Churches, the Love of God in his born-again heart would grow deeper and work to cast out (push out) the fear in his thought-life (brain) of walking down to the Church and fellowshipping with other Christians.
God going before him, and working through him, would express and manifest His Love to the Christians at the other Church. And, then God would “reward” him for his obedience to the Love Commandment. This encourages unity of the Faith among believers in Christ and resembles how we are unified in Christ in Heavenly places. (Ps.133:1 & Eph. 2:6) Many wonderful and mighty supernatural and natural blessings can result from just the simple act of taking “God’s Righteous Cause” to others.
This enriching experience would take the Christian Brother deeper into the knowledge of God, and what it means to have “Oneness” with Him. He would learn that God wants us to be available to use as “instruments of Righteousness,” and experience with “first-hand knowledge” God’s supernatural ability to get things done, rather than relying on his own natural abilities. In tangible ways, he would learn and be able to testify that God’s Love never fails. (I Cor. 13:8) It’s operating in the Truth that the Apostle Paul wrote about at Philippians 4:13, saying “I can do all things through Christ that strengths me.” (Php.4:13)
Saint of God, the more you live life through God, by Loving others through the Spirit of Christ, the deeper your Love grows and becomes “Perfected” in you. Watch this now: When God’s Love is Perfected in you, all fear is gone, and “unfeigned faith” is present. Paul wrote that “faith works by Love.” (Gal.5:6) Thus, when your heart and thought-life (brain) is full of the Love of God, you are prepared to “walk” in authority and dominion (True Prosperity) over the earth as sons of God, using God-Faith to speak the Promises of God’s Word into physical manifestation. All because you favor God’s Righteous Cause.
Praise God, let the (Them Class) shout for joy that favor God’s Righteous Cause, as John wrote at I John 3:22-23:
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Finally Saint of God, the Love of God in us is progressive in nature, and never stagnant nor grows old and stale. Paul wrote at I Corinthians 2:9-10 that the human heart, mind, and intellect had not seen nor heard of the “things” God has prepared for them that Love Him. But that God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit. As I have preached before these “things” are the spiritual gifts of Christ, as well as all things pertaining unto life and godliness to bring us into the abundant life Jesus came to give to us. (John 10:10)
Further, Paul prayed that believers in Christ would seek after God by the Spirit through prayer, God’s Word, and loving and kind deeds to others and be filled with all of the “fullness of God” in Christ Jesus. See Ephesians 3:14-20:
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
In Paul’s writing to the Saints at Ephesus, he continually prayed that Christ’s Love in them (and every born-again Christian) would be more and more in their hearts as they trusted in Him. God’s Love is “Total”, says Paul. It reaches every corner of the Human experience. It is wide, as it covers the breath of one’s own experience, and it reaches out to the whole world. God’s Love is long as it continues the length of our lives. It is high as it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation and magnification of Him. His love is deep, as it reaches to the depths of discouragement, despair, and even death. Paul even says that as we search the depths of this Love of God that we can be made “filled with all of the fullness of God.”
The fullness of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and Kingdom of God resides in us, but we must appropriate that fullness through faith, prayer, and obedience to the Love Command to love one another as Christ loves us. Paul writes that God is able to do exceedingly above all we ask of Him, or imagine, according to the “power” working within us. The power working in us is the continual “unconditional” practice of Loving God with our whole-selves, and all people as Christ loved us.
So dear Saint, take up God’s Righteous Cause of Loving all people as Jesus Christ loved and sacrificed His life for you, so that all people might see God through you and come and give their lives to Christ and be made full of the Holy Threeness in accordance with Purpose and Will for Mankind. Do not let anything in this world separate you from God’s Righteous Cause to love every person as Christ loves you! Not family members, friends, institutions, world systems, false religions, persecutions; let nothing separate you from the Love of God. Paul wrote at Romans 8:35-39:
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Dear Saint, thank God that we have Peace and Unity with the Only True God and Jesus Christ, and the world cannot do us any harm. Romans 5:1-2 declares:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Satan is defeated and we are more than conquerors through Christ who Loved us, and through our Oneness with God, grace we have received, the reward of authority and dominion over the earth, according to God’s divine Purpose and Will for Mankind. Let God be magnified, worshipped, and adored for the things He has done! I pray and believe that you are now an active and unwavering member of the “Them Class.” Amen for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
