Sermon Part 8: “In God in Christ Jesus Go With the Flow!”
Good Morning Saints!
Here is the Introduction for Today’s Message:

This is possibly the simplest Sermon I have ever preached. Everybody say, “Go With The Flow!” This Sermon is easy for any born-again Christian to understand and apply to their lives and experience complete victory in every arena of life, including all financial matters. Indeed, life is full of ups and downs, good and hard “Times”, and full of uncertainties along the way. But, why should we waste “Time” fretting over tomorrow when God is “with us” today? Simply learn how to flow with God, and everything will be “All” right. Yes, God will make everything “ALL” right!
For example, in Genesis 24:1-4, God appeared unto Isaac and told him not to go down into Egypt, but to sojourn in the land that God would show him (Gerar). God Promised Isaac that He would be “with” him, “bless” him, and make his offspring numerous for his Father Abraham’s sake. Isaac simply went with the flow, meaning he obeyed God and resided in Gerar.
Then we find in Genesis 26:12-15, in a “Time” of severe famine, Isaac sowed (planted crops) in the land, and received in the same year a hundredfold. By human intellect and calculation it made no sense to farm in a place where there was widespread shortage and hardship due to the drought of water rains. But, God was “with” Isaac and had blessed him. The blessing was so intense on Isaac’s life that it caused him to “wax great” in Gerar, to push forward until he became “very great.” We are told that Isaac had amassed flocks, herds, a multitude of servants, and that the Philistines were envious of him. (Gen. 26:12-15)
Praise God, as God was with Isaac, so is He also with us, and has blessed us in all things by faith in Jesus Christ, according to Abrahamic Covenant. (Eph.1:3, Gal.3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29) So, it would behoove every born-again Christian to resolve within themselves to “Go with the Flow,” and follow after God. Every step that we take “with God” is intended to be a “wealth-step!”
Pay Attention to the Phrase “With God”
Every person within the Body of Christ needs to pay far more attention to the prepositional phrase in the Holy Bible; “with God.” It is vital that we know the meaning of the word “with.” Jesus Christ’s last words to His disciples before ascending on high to the right-hand throne of Father God were, “and low I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matt. 28:20) Through life’s ups and downs, good and hard “Times,” and uncertainties, Jesus is with us.
Saints, are you “keenly” (meaning eagerly, steadily watchful, or sharply focused) aware that God in Christ Jesus is always with you? If you are keenly aware that God is with you, there is never a need to waste “Time” Procrastinating” about any matter, especially money matters. Whether we find ourselves in financial debt, lack, needing to make family decisions, business, legal, or investment decisions; I beg you to become keenly aware that God is with you! How? By just taking God at His Word and trusting that He has committed Himself to never leave you nor forsake you, and always with excitement search your heart for Him. (Heb.13:5)
When you face dilemmas, never throw your hands up in the air in frustration and quit, or make hasty decisions by leaning on your own understanding. Jesus Christ said men ought always to pray and not faint. (Luke 18:1) In the midst of a dilemma, search your heart for God and His Wisdom and He will direct your path. (Prov. 3:5-8)

Here me now. The word, “with” means that a person or thing are in a place together, or are doing something together. Praise God, God is always in the same place together with you, and desires to do something good together with you. God is good all the “Time,” and always seeks to do good for you, and with you! Psalm 100:5, says, “For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
My heart is so impressed with Acts 10:38. I tell you what folks, this is one silky smooth Scripture. About Jesus Christ’s Ministry on earth as the Son of Man, the Apostle Peter gave this witness:
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus Christ is our supreme example to follow in all aspects of life because He alone lived the perfect life, revealed to us how to return to God, and how to have an intimate relationship “with” God the Father. (Heb. 12:2 & I Cor.11:1) God was in Jesus Christ, and “with” Jesus Christ. So then God was in the same place with Jesus, and did the same things together with Jesus. The result was Jesus walked in the Divine Will and Purposes of God during His “Time” on earth, and did good works never seen nor heard of before in the history of the world.
Peter and the disciples were eye-witnesses that Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. No matter the obstacle Jesus was confronted with, He walked with God and did nothing but “good” works along the way. Through the manifold miracles He performed, clamoring crowds that followed after Him, diver temptations He was subject to, ridicule and mockery encountered by the Jews, sundry persecutions and sufferings endured more than any human being, even the agony and death of the cross; Jesus walked in lock-step obedience with God the Father. (Php.2:5-11)
Each day, Jesus lived knowing He was in the perfect Will of God and fulfilling the Divine Purposes of God, in “Time.” Jesus was keenly aware that God was with Him at all “Times.” Jesus testified that He and God the Father were “One.” (John 10:30) Jesus said to Philip; “he that hath seen me has seen the Father.” (John 14:9) With all assurance Jesus said that He only said what He heard the Father say, and did only what He saw God the Father doing. (John 12:49) Furthermore, Jesus was recorded saying at John 10:17-18,
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
No man in the history of the world can claim having the power to give his life, and then raise it up again from the dead. Only Jesus could accomplish such an amazing miracle, because He received the Commandment from God. And, on the third-day, He arose triumphant from the dead just as He said he would. Oh, what a keen awareness Jesus had that God the Father was with Him! Jesus flowed with God, by living by every Word of God.
God in Christ Jesus is Calling You to Flow with God
Even today, Jesus is sending a Message to the people of the world, that if they would believe in Him, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost will come into their hearts and abide “with” them forever! So that every person can “Go with the Flow;” being led by every Word of God. (Luke 4:4) Every step taken being a wealth-step. God in Christ Jesus increasing them more and more, and their children’s children as well. (Ps.115:14)

Praise God, as born-again sheep within Christ’s fold, Jesus said that we hear His Voice, He knows us, and we follow after Him. (John 10:16, 27-28) Further, in Jesus’ prayer to God the Father, He petitioned that we all might be “One” in God in Christ. Listen to the prayer closely dear Saints at John 17:20-22.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Saints, we all have been made “One” in God in Christ, and have received Christ’s “Glory.” The Glory of Christ consists of all of the fullness of God, and is revealed to us through the Holy Ghost. (Col. 2:10 & John 16:13-15) Included in the Glory of Christ is God’s Love, Wisdom, and Power. The Glory of Christ is given to us to fulfill the Divine Purposes of God in “Time,” while we are in the earth, and in the world which is to come. No matter the state of the world the Glory of Christ serves to dismantle, dominate, and destroy the works of evil. The Glory of Christ reverses every curse, Praise the Holy Name of Jesus!
We are full of the Glory of Christ Jesus, and the Holy Ghost is going to show us all things to come. (John 16:13-15) Wherever the Glory of Christ is released; sin is removed, debts are dissolved, poverty is eradicated, and wealth and peace rests on individuals and families.
Step-by-step, as we walk with God, the Glory of Christ is revealed through us. And, all we have to do, as our Message Title says is, “Go with the Flow!” At Romans 8:14, the Apostle Paul wrote that the “sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.” The Spirit of God has been given to us to lead us into the manifestation of the Abrahamic Covenant, wherein we have been made exceedingly rich, and called to be a blessing to all families of the earth. (Gal. 3:6-9, 13-14, & 26-29)
I ask of you dear Saints, with all that I have said thus far, is there anything too hard for God to accomplish in your life? The Prophet Jeremiah cried out in prayer saying, “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” (Jer. 32:17) Therefore, being keenly aware (excited and sharply focused) that God is with you in the same place together, and wanting to do good things with you, each day you must live knowing that every task before you is achievable! All you need to do is “Go with the Flow!”
All Things Are Possible To Those Who Flow With God
One of the most powerful Verses in the Holy Bible are the words of Jesus Christ when He said to His disciples, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matt.19:26) Jesus was providing clarification to the disciples regarding how a person receives eternal life and gains entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. Salvation cannot be obtained by genetics, economic status, political might, nor through good behavior and deeds in accordance with the Law of Moses. (Eph. 2:8)
Only through placing complete trust in Jesus Christ and following after Him can a person receive eternal life. (John 3:16 & 14:6) Jesus is the only way to God. To walk with God requires total commitment and sacrifice of all to Jesus. (Rom.12:1-2) Any person who would follow after Jesus must be willing and ready to forsake all, including family and material things.
Yes, even if the person has all the riches of the world, if the riches serve as a hindrance, the person must be willing to let them go to follow after Jesus. For there is no eternal profit if a man gains the riches of the world, and yet loses his soul. (Mark 8:36) Riches are worthless to a person who has lost their moral compass and understanding of the Divine Purpose of money and life in this world.
This indeed was the case of the story of the “Rich Young Ruler” recorded in Matt.19:16-22 and Mark 10:17-22. The rich young man came running to Jesus inquiring how he might obtain eternal life with God. (Matt.19:16-22) This was a good thing as we all should run to Jesus. But soon after, the rich young ruler’s jubilation turned to utter sadness, when Jesus told him, if he wanted to be perfect (complete in following after God) to go and sell all of his possessions and give it the poor, and follow after Him.
Jesus promised the young man that if he obeyed, he would have treasure in Heaven and to follow him. (Matt. 19:21-22) But, he refused to “Go with the Flow,” and went away sad, for he “had great possessions.” Or, we could say, “The great possessions had him.”

In speaking to the disciples, Jesus said that “a rich man shall hardly enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt.19:23-24) Jesus compared the impossibility of a camel going through the eye of a needle, to a rich person, in his own strength, entering into the Kingdom of Heaven, which is also an impossibility. When the disciples heard this, they were exceedingly amazed and wondered then who could be saved. Peter, even exclaimed that he and the disciples had forsaken all and followed the Lord, and wondered what would be their fate.
Jesus, however, was pointing out that when a rich person clings to and trust in Him, it is possible to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And, He assured the disciples they would have a significant place in His Kingdom to come, in which they would sit with Him in glory judging the 12-tribes of Israel.
Additionally, Jesus guaranteed the disciples that every person who leaves their houses, family, and lands for His sake, and the gospel, (In This Time) shall receive a hundredfold houses, family, and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life. (Matt.19:28 & Mark 10:29-30)
So, when Jesus said to the disciples, “with men this is impossible but with God all things are possible,” he meant that what seems impossible to achieve through human effort alone is achievable through God’s power and grace. Essentially, Jesus was emphasizing that salvation and overcoming challenges are only possible through faith in God, not through our own abilities.
With respect to the challenges of obtaining and growing wealth in today’s economy, we need only to “Go with the Flow.” Jesus made clear in the story of the Rich Young Ruler, the way in which we are to become increased in wealth, family, lands, and inherit eternal life in the new world to come, is through preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost.
Saints, do not struggle to believe this Truth. As we work to win the lost to Christ, God Promises that money and favors will come our way, with persecutions. Jesus said to 70-other disciples that He sent out into every city that He planned to visit, that “…the laborer is worthy of his hire.” (Luke 10:7) If you will “Go with the Flow” by participating in the Great Commission to invite people to Church, preach the gospel, and share your testimony of Christ with the lost, you will receive wages; increasingly more and more.
Oh Saints, each day when you wake up, listen to the Voice of the Holy Ghost instructing you to go and share Jesus with family, friends, neighborhoods, coworkers, schoolmates, and strangers. As you follow after the Spirit of the Lord and obey, money and favors will increase and relationships will strengthen along with persecutions. (Mark 16:15-20) Persecutions will come because some people will be envious of your relationship with God, success, and moral compass to live for Jesus. But fret not yourself over workers of evil, for they soon will be cut off. (Ps.37:1-2) God is with you, there is no one who can stand against you. (Rom.8:31) You will find that as you become a professional confessor of Jesus Christ wherever you go, nothing will be impossible for you to achieve in all aspects of life; including in business, relationships, education, and ministry.
You know Saints, some might say, all this sounds too good to be true: That winning souls to Christ puts manifold money in your pockets seems impossible or illogical. To that person I would say, I understand your bewilderment, but stop your unbelief and “Go with the Flow!” I would also insist that the person put the spirit of Procrastination far from them, with all of its fear and torment about sharing the gospel with others, and then I would implore them to go and do as the Jesus Christ has Commanded.
Saints, why do we question any of the Commandments and Promises of the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again on the third-day, carrying all of our sins away? (Rom.5:8) As Jeremiah lamented, I say, “Is anything too hard for God?”
When the wedding party in Cana had runout of wine, did not Jesus tell the servants to “fill the water-pots with water?” The servants went “With the Flow” and filled pots with water to the brim. Afterwards, Jesus told the servants to draw out the wine and give it to the governor of the feast. After tasting the wine it was the best he had consumed. (John 2:1-11) Jesus’ Glory had changed the water into fabulous wine. Who would have expected mere water could, in a few minutes, be turned into vintage wine, sparing the wedding couple both embarrassment and great cost in supplying premiere wine for the feast. Nothing is too hard for God!
Or, do you not recall the story of Jesus telling Peter, and he forthrightly obeyed, to go fishing in the sea, and to take from the mouth of the first fish that he caught a coin to pay the Temple tax for himself and Jesus? (Matt. 17:24-27) Oh, how inauspicious it would seem that a fish would have in its mouth the exact money needed to pay the tributes of Peter and Jesus. But, Jesus knows all things and nothing is too hard for God!
And, since I am recalling fish stories, let’s not forget the humanly impossible, but possible with Jesus, story of Peter’s great catch of fish, recorded at Luke 5:4-10. After the Master finished teaching the people in a ship he had borrowed from Simon (Peter), Jesus told Peter and accompany to row out to deep water and cast their nets, and they would have a great catch.
Peter (a fisherman by trade) replied to Jesus that they had just come back from fishing all night and had caught nothing, but “Going with the Flow,” Peter said “nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net.” When they had done this they caught a great multitude of fish, so much so that it broke their nets, and they called to their partners (James and John) which were in the other ship to come and help.
They came and filled both the ships, and they began to sink. Scripture witnesses that because of Peter’s amazement at the supernatural catch, he fell down at Jesus’ knees saying, “Depart from me for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” Jesus told Peter not to fear and from that day forward he would catch men; which is a much more lucrative and satisfying career with eternal benefits than catching fish. With God all things are possible to him that believeth!
Lastly, do you not recall the story of the woman with issue of blood for 12-years, told at Luke 8: 43-48? The woman had spent all of her money on doctors and none could heal her. She came to Jesus, who was walking among multitudes of people, and she touched the border of his garment, and immediately her issue of blood stopped.
Jesus perceived that someone had touched Him in faith; believing for their healing and wanted to know who had made contact with Him. The woman fell down at Jesus’ feet and confessed she had touched Him, and the cause, and had been healed. (Luke 8:43-48) Jesus told her to be of good comfort and that her faith had made her “whole” and to go in peace (prosperity). For with God all things are possible to the person who believes in Jesus. Not only was she healed of her sickness, but also made “whole” in all areas of her life.
In closing, “with” God nothing shall be impossible. In this moment God wants you to know “with” Him all things are possible (powerful) if you believe in the name of Jesus Christ and follow after Him. Whatever God has Commanded you to do, you must be willing and ready to “Go with the Flow” and obey what He says do.
As born-again Christians, fire baptized in the Holy Ghost, we have been Commanded to take the gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world so that all people have the opportunity to receive God’s Salvation. Sadly, however, the vast majority of born-again Christians have never witnessed their faith to a sinner and won them to Christ, and the majority of Christians have never invited a single person to join them at Church. Heaven is waiting to pay wages and gift to Christians houses, lands, refreshed and new relationships, with persecutions. We must destroy the yoke of Procrastination that attacks born-again Christians with complacency, fear, and discouragement from participating in the Great Commission. Let us pray to the Lord that He would send forth more laborers into His Vineyard who have the courage and strength to “Go with the Flow” and reap souls for the Kingdom of God and experience supernatural wealth attainment.
Each day of your life, just do whatever God says do, and remain laser focused on completing the task, and God will bring you into prosperity. (Is. 26:3) Compel the lost to come to Church. (Luke 14:23) Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demon forces, be a kind giver to the poor and those in need for the Glory of Christ is ready to work “with” you to set captives free. (Mark 16:16-18 & Luke 4:18) Remember, wealth success comes about by doing what God says. Isaiah 1:19 states, “If you be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land.”
As born-again Christians we are to yield our members completely to Christ’s righteousness; his way of doing things. (Rom. 6:13) We are to submit our bodies as living sacrifices unto God holy and acceptable in His sight daily. (Rom.12:1-2) As we labor in the Lord’s Vineyard to win souls, there will be days and seasons of lack in the land but we are to know that God will sustain and prosper us, as He did with the great prophet Elijah, “Who flowed with God.”
In I Kings 17:1-7, 8-16, Elijah in opposition to King Ahab who ruled the northern kingdom of Israel, prophesied a drought would come upon the whole land as a consequence for Ahab’s evil. Warned by God, Elijah hid near the brook of Cherith near Jordan from the King’s army where he was fed by ravens, bread and flesh morning and evening, just as God said he would be when he arrived.
Afterwards, as the drought and famine in the land worsened and the brook dried up, the Word of the Lord came again to Elijah and told him to go to Zarepath and to dwell there. God told Elijah that He had Commanded a widow woman to sustain him there. While in her company, Elijah told the woman to make him first a little cake, and afterwards, make a cake for herself and her son from the scarcity of food she had left.
Elijah told the woman God had told him that the “barrel of meal would not waste and the cruse of oil would not fail until the day that the Lord would send rain upon the earth.” The widow woman “Went with the Flow” and did what Elijah told her to do, and the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail until God sent rain on the earth. She, Elijah, and her household ate for many days.
The lesson for us is that, if we “Go with the Flow,” walk in fellowship with the Lord and obey Him in preaching the gospel to the lost, we are in God’s Divine Will and Purpose, and God will fulfill all of our needs, as His great mercy and grace towards us never runs short. Amen for the preaching of the Word of the Living God.
