Part 5 Continued: Points of Emphasis on Meditating on “God.”

Good morning, and praise Almighty God from whom all spiritual blessings of empowerments to prosper and be in health flow into your life!

Let us read together these words written by the Apostle Paul to Christians at Corinth, as recorded at II Corinthians 5:17.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a
new creature; old things have past away;
behold, all things have become new.

The Apostle Paul lets us know that all those who have been baptized into Jesus Christ (surrendered their lives to Christ) are “new creatures”—entirely new species that never existed before on earth. Praise God, we are greater than the first man Adam God created before he sinned against God!

We have been washed from our sins in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and made spiritual kings and priests unto God. (Rev. 1:5-6) God has given to us an exceedingly great and supernatural gift and ability to see within our hearts all things belonging to the kingdom of heaven that are to be manifested here on earth.

These are all God-good things that are new, fresh, and alive, and prepared before the foundation of the world for the complete restoration of your life and for the lives of all people on the earth. Everything pertaining to life and godliness has deposited in our born-again spirits. (I Pet. 1:3)

We see these new things through meditating on “God,” and the Word of God. This is why the Apostle Paul said, “behold” all things have become new. In other words, Paul is admonishing Christians to spend earnest time looking into their born-again hearts and seeing the new things God has given to us, decreeing those things, and then they shall be established in the earth.
Now, I want to thank each of you again for your participation in last Sunday’s exercise on Meditating on “God.” Of course, our 5-minute Session was only brief practice in meditating on “God,” to provide you with helpful techniques on preparing for and engaging in meditation with the Lord.

After receiving feedback from you on the Session, it was clear to me that there are some major things that I have covered during the Sermon Series, as well as on meditating on “God” that we need greater understanding on.

So today, I want to re-emphasize some of the major points I have made during the Series and especially with regard meditating on “God.” And, then next week, we will move in to Part 6 of the Series.

First, I want to clarify last week’s Sermon Title:

“The Person Whose Mind (Human Brain) Is Stuck on God, Will Have God’s Welfare Stuck on Them!”

  • Review The Three-Parts of Man

Every human being consists of three-parts. (Spirit, Soul, and Body). God intends for the “whole” of you to receive His Welfare: Perfect Health and Prosperity. (I Thess. 5:23)

  1. The Spirit (life force) and Soul (mind, will, emotions, and intellect) make up what we call the “Heart” of the man. Thus, the Heart of man = Spirit + Soul.
  2. As a born-again Christian your heart (spirit/soul/mind) have all been regenerated: Experienced the operation of the Circumcision of Christ. Your “old man” with its sinful nature has been removed from your heart and God has placed the God-head in your spirit. God, Jesus, and Holy Ghost dwell in your spirit and made you a “new man.” Also, God has placed His Laws in your heart and written them on the mind of your soul. (Heb. 10:16)
  3. Sin and iniquity cannot enter your heart because, the Holy Ghost has sealed, vaulted-shut your heart until the day of the return of Jesus Christ. Only the incorruptible seed of the Word of God can be received into your heart to bring forth bountiful harvests from the promises contained in the Word of God.                                            Word Seed + Planted in Ground of Your Heart = Harvests
  4. For all eternity, your heart, (spirit/soul and mind) have been made to love and worship God only. For example, if I ask you, do you love God? Or, do you believe in Jesus Christ? Your answer will always be emphatically, “Yes!” I could then ask, how do you know this?
  5. For all eternity, your heart, (spirit/soul and mind) have been made to love and worship God only. For example, if I ask you, do you love God? Or, do you believe in Jesus Christ? Your answer will always be emphatically, “Yes!” I could then ask, how do you know this?
  6. This knowing is first known in your heart—the mind of the soul, as the Holy Ghost, from your spirit, witnesses to the mind of the soul that you love God and you believe in Jesus Christ.
  7. Then your soul witnesses to your Human Brain that you love God and believe in Jesus Christ, which leads you to say out loud you love God and believe in Jesus Christ. This process occurs within milliseconds.
  8. In other words, your Human Brain is the last to know and witness that you love God and believe in Jesus Christ, and your heart (spirit and soul) are the first to know and bear witness.
  9. Likewise, from your spirit by the Holy Ghost, Godly-imaginations are produced in the mind of the soul, and relayed to the Human Brain.
  10. For example, Minister Princess informed us last Sunday that frequently she suffers from Migraine Headaches and reported not having a Migraine during service. Oh, but take a moment right now and “behold.” Look in your heart and see the picture of Minister Princess. Notice, that you see her (or have a knowing in your heart) free and healed of the Migraine Headaches. You may also see her smiling and functioning without any pain in her head or body. This is called “Godly-imagination!” This is also a form of meditating on God.
  11. The image in the mind of your soul of Minister Princess healed is relayed to your Human Brain, and then we say out-loud to Minister Princess: “I decree that you are free and healed from Migraine Headaches in Jesus Name!” And, we expect the Migraines to leave her!
  12. The regenerated mind of the soul only sees eternal things: new life, all things made new, good things from God reserved in heaven for us to receive today and every day until Jesus Christ returns!
    • Your regenerated heart, including the mind of the soul is always stayed (thinking) on God. Thus, your born-again heart is always in Perfect Peace—God’s Welfare (Is. 26:3 & Heb. 10:16-17)
      1. There is nothing else your born-again heart desires but the things of God! Your heart has no fear, interest in sin, nor has any longings for the things of this world.
      2. Remember, you surrendered your life completely to God when you received Jesus as Lord. Thus, your heart only seeks to fulfill the divine will and purposes of God.
      3. Examine your heart now, and answer this question. Do you want God to use you as He wills? Listen to the answer from your heart, it’s always Yes, Lord have your way! Even now do you see what we are doing? We are meditating on God, and God in the Person of the Holy Ghost, is talking to you.
      4. It’s not you that are answering first from your Human Brain the questions I’m posing. Rather, the Holy Ghost is bearing witness to the mind of your soul, and the soul is testifying to your Human Brain in answering the questions.
    • Your Human Brain located within your skull/head of your human body has direct contact with the natural world.
    1. The Human Brain both interacts with the mind of your soul, and the external world we live in.
    2. Through your five-physical senses (see, taste, touch, hear, and smell) you contact and live in this physical/natural world.
    3. Your five-physical senses send signals to your Human Brain, and your Brain processes things that you think about and contact in this world. Further, the Brain transmits information to your soul for contemplation and decision making.
    4. So, the mind of the soul is the medium between the spirit and Human Brain/physical body. Without the soul, you would have no way to contact and have fellowship with God who resides in your spirit.
    • Preparing to Engage in Meditation on “God.”

    1. Meditation on “God” starts with first understanding that God dwells within our born-again spirits, and we in Him. (I John 4:15)
    2. We have our conversations with God from within us. Not from outside us—internally, not externally. For the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. (Rom. 8:14) We walk by faith and not by sight. (II Cor. 5:7)
    3. So we expect almost all of our conversations with God to take place internally through the person and voice of the Holy Ghost. (Except we hear the audible voice of God from heaven.)
    4. Prior to entering into meditation, get in the practice of by faith casting all your cares on Jesus Christ. All worries, frustrations, anxieties, fears—heap them all up and give them to Jesus Christ.
    5. Do not let your Human Brain think and dwell on these “cares” again. Surely, Satan will come tempting you to pick up the cares again
    6. Next, know and be assured, that we have a New Covenant with God in which we have unlimited access to God (within our spirits) through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. (Heb. 10:19-22)
    7. So we decree according to the New Covenant: “Father God, by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, I enter into a period of meditation with “You,” and thereafter, with the help of the Holy Ghost I keep my mind (Human Brain) stayed on “You” and the imaginations “You” reveal to me day and night.”
    8. There is nothing we cannot talk to God about, nor ask Him to do for us. Ask anything and He will answer in the Person of the Holy Ghost. (Ps. 91:15 & John 14:14)
    9. With this understanding, go to a quiet place alone in your home, or any place of solitude (beach, park, or backyard).
    10. Sit still and think on “God.” Here are helpful topics to start meditating on “God:”
      1. Think about who God is.
      2. Think about His love for you.
      3. Think about all things in the earth He has created.
      4. Inquire about the good things God has in store for you.
      5. Think about promises from the Word of God.
      6. Ask God about His plan for your life.
      7. Ask God what He would have you do today.
    11. Make your meditation time more about looking at the future rather than the past. God wants to show you great and mighty things you know not. (Jer. 33:3 & I Cor. 2:9-13)
    12. As you think about God and inquire of Him, you will notice that the Holy Ghost will answer with a knowing in your heart, give answers to your questions, and reveal Godly-imaginations.
    13. Just like when I asked do want to be used by God, you replied “Yes.” If you continue to think about God using you in His service, the Holy Ghost will talk to you and reveal more about the service God wants you to do. The pictures and instructions that the Holy Ghost provides to you, are the things you are to keep your Human Brain locked in on (stayed) all day and night.
    • You have to be diligent in seeking God, and not treat God as a fleeting-thought. (Heb. 11:6 Jer. 29:11-14)
    1. While meditating last week, some of you said you experienced “your mind” wandering on to different things.

    2. It was not your mind wandering. Rather, many different thoughts from the Human Brain were trying to draw you away from thinking on “God.” This happens to all Christians that practice meditating on “God.”
    3. But watch this. Of course, thoughts from your human brain will try to move you away from meditating on “God,” and to thinking about other things.
    4. This is not a new phenomenon in your Christian walk. The same thing happens when you are praying, reading the Bible, commanded to go and witness Christ to people. You are tempted to get distracted with other things.
    5. It’s just the enemy, Satan, trying to distract you. Remember, Satan tempted Jesus Christ for 40-days while He was in the wilderness, and after Jesus resisted Satan with the Word of God he left Him for a season. (Luke 4:1-13) Jesus was tempted at all points like as we are yet without sin. (Heb. 4:15) So likewise, you must resist the devil and He will flee from you.
    6. Here is a News Flash for you: You are in control of your Human Brain and the thoughts that you let rest in your Brain. By the Holy Ghost, you rule over the thoughts of your Human Brain. (II Tim.1:7 & Rom. 8:5-6) We mind the things of the Spirit and not the things of the flesh.
    7. When, for example, you are praying and you get distracted, you don’t stop praying. Most of you in this Ministry have been called on to lead Prayer during morning service. The devil tries to distract you when you pray—but you don’t stop praying. No, no you listen to the Holy Ghost—who says “keep on praying” and lay the distraction aside.
    8. Likewise in meditation, when you find your thoughts drifting off of God, listen to the Holy Ghost saying to you, “get your thinking back on God and stay in meditation.”
    9. We make our Human Brains obey what the Spirit of God in us says do. We capture and bring down all thoughts that rise up against the knowledge of God and make them obey the Word of God. (II Cor.10:4 & Col. 3:1-2)
    10. You know the devil is cunning. Think about it. If someone offends you—like speaking evil about your mother or child—the Human Brain will immediately react and become fixated for hours and days thinking about how the person hurt you. Satan tempts
you to argue, hold and a grudge, be bitter, and seek revenge.
    11. Yet, when it comes to meditating on “God,” most Christians can’t sit still and think about God for 5-minutes without their minds wandering off the grid.
    12.  Really, the reason is simple, you have far more experience with contemplating the thoughts of the Human Brain, which is exposed to the things of this world, than you have spending time talking with God in your heart/inner man. Start doing the reverse!
    13.  As often as necessary in meditation, and during your daily activities, keep putting your Human Brain back on God until it stays there. This is called washing and training your Human Brain to think God-thoughts. What God wants is your whole being yielded to Him—spirit/soul/mind and body.
    • Lastly, Meditation on “God” becomes exceedingly more productive when you are obeying the Commandments of Jesus Christ. (Luke 16:10)
    1. When God’s spiritual kings and priests are quick and willing to obey Christ’s Commandments, meditation with God daily is as simple as flipping a light switch on and conversing with God at will about anything. Seeing Godly imaginations becomes as easy as turning on the television and watching a ball game.
    2. Obeying the least of the Lord’s Commandments sets the stage for us to receive Godly imaginations transmitted to the mind of the soul—all because we are on the same spiritual frequency with God.
    3. However, the lack of regular fasting and prayer in the Holy Ghost hinders Christians from seeing and knowing spiritual things from eternity.
    4. The withholding of tithes and offerings and regular church attendance causes Christians to be blind and dull in their spiritual senses to the love of God and the brethren. Thus, the things many Christians pray for never come into manifestation because faith works by love. (Gal. 5:6)
    5. Rebellion and hard-headedness to the Lord’s Command to go and preach the gospel to every person—to serve as Reapers in the Lord’s Vineyard—blocks and usurps our Spiritual Authority to see, taste, and experience the work of the Ministry of Reconciliation (Restoration).
    6. Last, when we walk in the Commandments of Jesus Christ, the meditations of our hearts filled with Jesus’ Peace, enables us to endure hardship and tribulation as good soldiers, and win a more than decisive victory over Satan and the kingdom of darkness.

In closing, I encourage you to become a “God-Thinker.” Why don’t you go ahead and decree that right now. Say, “I’m a God Thinker!” Somebody like a friend, coworker, or family member may walk by you and see you in deep thought, and ask, what are you thinking about? You will say, “I’m thinking about God and viewing Godly imaginations of good things that are about to happen when I speak them into existence!”

Meditation is the key to having God’s Welfare stuck on your life. As stated last week, when Godly-images are revealed to your heart by the Holy Ghost, keep your Brain thinking on them. Continue to ponder the things in the picture you see. Write down what you both see and hear the Holy Ghost saying to you. Talk to God about them. Study the Word of God related to them. Speak the things you see out-loud, and share them with people of like precious faith. The things you see will not tarry but they shall come to pass.

Thinking on “God” continually, provides the devil no place in your Human Brain to think and commit evil. For, you cannot commit sin when you are not thinking about sinning. When you depart and abstain from evil, you will be a vessel of honor that God can readily use to manifest His Welfare and make fit for every good work of the Lord. (II Tim. 2:19-21) Amen, to God be the Glory for the things He Has Done!
