Part 3C: “Believe What You Say!”

Wow, what an awesome blessing this series has been. We should stop for a moment and count our blessings:

Jesus Christ has washed us from our sins in His own blood, and made us kings and priests unto God our Father. (Rev.1:5-6) We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the greatest kingdom of all—the kingdom of God’s dear Son Jesus Christ. (Col.1:13)

God through Jesus Christ, has given us the authority to decree and declare things in the earth and see them established. (Job 22:28) If we ask anything of God, by faith in the name of Jesus Christ, He will do it! (John 14:13 & I John 5:14-15)

God has performed the eternal operation of the Circumcision of Christ on our hearts, (inner beings—spirit, soul, and mind) and made us perfect (whole) in Jesus Christ. (Eph. 4:30) Furthermore, God has planted His Laws in our hearts and written them on our minds, and our sins and iniquities, He remembers no more. (Heb.10:16-18)

One of the great and amazing Laws of God planted in our hearts is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, which gives us the authority to quicken everything that is failing and dead to life!

Lastly, until the day of the return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church, the Holy Ghost has vaulted-shut our hearts from the wicked one, Satan. He cannot touch us, nor can any evil, which produces sin ever enter into our hearts. (Eph. 4:30, II Thess. 3:3, & I John 5:18) Glory be to God!

With all of these grace-filled blessings and much more, every born-again Christian is set to rule their world through servanthood unto God, mankind, and the world. (Rom. 5:17 & 12:1) As spiritual kings and priests unto God, our agenda is the kingdom of God’s agenda. (Matt. 6:33) We are all about doing kingdom business, and God takes care of all of our business.

Our focus in life is solely on doing the will of God and finishing the work we have been assigned to do.(John 4:34-38) To see to it that everyone we encounter has an opportunity to hear and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to effectively and efficiently do the works of Christ and greater works. (John 14:12)

To walk in the Anointed life of Jesus Christ, as He is seated at the right hand of God, we have been given the Word of God, the gift of the Holy Ghost and power, and the kingdom of God. (I John 4:4, II Tim. 3:16-17, Acts 1:8, 2:38, & Rom. 14:17)

As established in last week’s Sermon, the Word of God is the only seed that can be received, engrafted, and planted into the born-again Christian’s heart. (James 1:21 & Heb. 4:12)  Our hearts (inner-beings) have been made completely compatible with the Word of God. For we are born-again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, therefore, the only acceptable seed that can be planted into our hearts is the Word of God. (I Peter 1:23)

Remember everything produces after its own kind—that’s the law of nature, and the law of the Spirit. We are born-again by the Word of God, therefore it is by the Word of God that we live. (Luke 4:4)

When Christians, hear the Word of God, receive it with gladness, and take ownership of the Word, the Word acts as a seed planted into the kingdom of God within our born-again spirits. The Word-Seed planted will take hold, grow, and ultimately manifest with multiplied fruit. (Mark 4:11, 14, 20, 26-29)

Think of it this way. In the natural, a farmer knows exactly what seed he expects to harvest when he plants it into the soil of the earth. If he plants corn seed, he expects a harvest corn seed—not tomatoes! He expects to see the blade, then the ear, and lastly the full corn in the ear—its harvest time!

Now, when we plant Word-seed we don’t just plant one Scripture. But, just like a farmer planting seed in the natural scatters many of the same kind of seed in the soil of the ground, we also must take several Scriptures related to the same promise of God we desire to harvest, and plant it in the soil of our hearts. We search the Bible for Scriptures, read, study, and meditate on them until they create Godly images produced by the Holy Ghost.

When your heart is filled-full of the Word of God and Godly imagination, from the heart, your mouth will speak the Word—the promise of God. For out of the abundance of the heart, Jesus said the mouth speaks. (Matt.12:34-35)

When the Christian speaks the promise of God from the abundance of their heart, good treasure will be produced that can be harvested by you, as well as many other people who will become beneficiaries of the Word-seed you planted into your heart.

All of the promises of God are contained in the Word of God, and God has endorsed and approved every This system, called “Seed-Time and Harvest,” is essential for every born-again Christian to master to effectively serve as spiritual kings and priests unto God in this world. one of His promises for reaping/manifestation in the world we live in. (II Cor.1:20)

Moreover, our New Covenant with God requires us to confess with our mouths the promises of God without wavering, as God is faithful to bring them to pass. (Heb.10:23) The only reason why Christians do not see the promises of God manifest in their lives is because they do not sow the Word of God into their hearts properly. (Mark 4:14-19)

If you are praying for a person to be healed of a sickness or disease, what Word-Seeds are you standing on? If you want a person to be delivered from an addiction, what Word-Seeds are you standing on? If you want family relationships restored, what Word-Seeds are you standing on? If you desire a particular spiritual gift to manifest in your life—one of the fruit of the Spirit or power gifts of God, what Word-Seeds are you standing on? You see? Anything and everything that you are expecting to receive from God—must involve the Seed-Time and Harvest process.

Now many Christians have heard teaching on the system of “Seed Time and Harvest.” But many Christians also do not understand that there is an adjacent law that goes with Seed-Time and Harvest. I call it the “Law of Measurement.” Examine what Jesus Christ said while teaching on the parable of sowing and reaping. (Mark 4:24)

And, he said unto them, Take heed what you hear:
with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you: and unto you that hear more shall be
given.

The Amplified Bible says it this way,

Be very careful what you are hearing, as the
measure of thought and study you give to the
truth you hear will be the measure of virtue and
knowledge that comes back to you, and more
besides will be given to those who hear.

Wow! I wonder how much thought and study Christians have dedicated to the Law of Seed-time and Harvest? How much time, study, and application of the Law of Seed-time and Harvest have you applied to your own life and ministry? Well, for most Christians, let’s be generous and say, “not nearly enough.”

But Jesus Christ promised that if you will go and spend time thinking about the Word, studying the Word of God, and applying it to your life—the same measure of virtue (Anointing) and knowledge and much more will be given back to you. In other words, when you sow the Word of God properly into your heart, there is always profit exceedingly far above that which you expected to reap from it!

So far, I have said a lot about how to sow the Word of God properly into your heart. Please take it to heart and apply it.

But, for the balance of my time, I want to talk specifically about, Believing what you say.”

Once the Word of God has been accepted, embraced to ownership in your heart—now it is vitally important that the Word of God spoken from your mouth be believed by you! (Heb. 10:35-37) The force, the power, the expectation to see whatever you say from the Word of God come to pass, must be spoken in boldness and confidence, never wavering.

The frank truth is many Christians, like the people of this world, do not believe their own words, and hold themselves accountable, for the things they say. In our society, words spoken are not taken seriously.

For example, without any real thought, when feeling ill people will say, “I am sick as a dog.” “My back is killing me.” When feelings of hunger come, they say, “I am so hungry I could eat a horse.” They promise to arrive at a dinner party at 5:00 pm and show up at 6:00 pm. When someone sneezes, automatically everyone in the room says, God bless you—why and what do you mean? More on this next week.

Further, words spoken from the mouths of people can turn instantly, from expressing their “unfailing love for you and willingness to be with you until death parts them,” to “hating your guts and never wanting to see you again.” When people urgently need money, they will promise to repay with accepted terms, and when the date of repayment comes they cannot be found.

Lastly, many people love to swear and make vows using the Bible, God’s name, or on the names and graves of loved ones—crossing their hearts and saying they hope to die—only later to find out they were lying about what they swore verily was the truth. However, Jesus Christ said we are never to swear nor make vows? (Matt. 5:36-37)

God expects His spiritual kings and priests to always speak the truth in love, honor, and keep their words. Words are all important to God. The universe is upheld by the Word of His power. If God lied one time, the entire universe would instantly be destroyed. (Heb.1:3) God has placed His Word above His own name. Even after heaven and earth has passed away, God’s Word remains forever. (Ps.138:2 & Matt. 24:35) Let me further emphasize how God views His words. See Psalm 89:34, it reads as follows,

My covenant I will not violate, Nor will I alter
the utterance of My lips.

Here is a news flash for you! Our Father, God expects us to act like Himself. For He has said, “be ye Holy for I am Holy.” We should therefore be holy in all manner of conversation. (I Peter 1:15-17) In your conversations with people, you ought to be accused of thinking like, talking like, and sounding like your Daddy—Almighty God! Your words ought always to be true and believable. Starting with you believing what you say!

Let’s really sober up for a few moments. One day, we will all give an account of our careless words. Each and every word that we utter will be judged by God, the most perfect and just Judge.

Examine the next set of Scriptures, beginning with Romans 14:12, it reads,

Every one shall give an account of himself to God.

Matthew 12:36,

But I say unto you, that every idle word that men
shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in
the day of judgement.

II Corinthians 5:10,

For we must all appear before the judgement seat
of Christ that everyone may receive the things
done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad.

As you can see, words carry great weight and meaning to God. So God wants us to choose and use words wisely. God gave us the Bible so we would have a wise-heart always capable of making the right decision, and speaking forth words of wisdom in every situation to bring to us life and peace. (Joshua 1:8 & Deut. 30:15-20, II Tim. 3:16-17)

Using words wisely starts with a continual examination of what we are exposing ourselves to, and thinking about. Then we must ensure that the thoughts we think are true (consistent with the Love and Word of God). When we speak the truth in love, our words will be wise choices that we can believe in, and release from our mouths with complete confidence. Thereafter, the actions we take concerning what we have said, prove that we really meant what we said.

Indeed, it is a wonderful testimony of a Christian’s life and character when you can say that the person, “always said what they meant, meant what they said, and did exactly what they said they would do in line with God’s Word!”

When we live by every Word of God, as Jesus Christ instructed us to do, our belief in the words we speak will be with the same boldness and confidence, as when we are asked to solve the simple math problem: How much is one plus one? And, the answer we boldly and confidently say is, “2.” Notice, when giving the answer to the problem, you do not scream and shout, and stomp on the floor. Also, you don’t say it over, and over, and over again to try to convince yourself, or anyone else that the answer is “2.”

No, in a mild or mid-tone voice, you say it one-time, and expect the person to understand that the answer you gave them is correct. You have complete trust that you have solved the math problem correctly and can prove you have it right. In other words, you spoke the truth, you know it, and cannot be convinced otherwise of it.

Praise God! This is the way your Daddy, God wants you to learn how to handle His Word. We have already established for you that there is nothing greater or more reliable than the Word of God. The moment you speak God’s Word in belief, it’s the correct answer for everything, in every situation—because it’s the truth. When you speak the truth (God’s Word), the truth immediately goes to work to change wrong answers to right answers, wrong things to right things!

Now, with that understanding let’s return to our discussion of Seed-Time and Harvest, and believing the words we say. Let’s examine Jesus Christ’s words spoken to the disciples after the fig tree He cursed the day before, had dried up and died. (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21) The disciples inquired of Jesus how this was done. Jesus said these words at Mark 11:22-24.

And Jesus answering saith unto them,
Have faith in God.      For verily I say unto you.
That whosoever shall say to this mountain be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe
that those things which He saith shall come to pass:
he shall have what-soever he saith.

Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever
Ye desire, when you pray, (say) believe you
receive them, and you shall have them.

This is the true exercise of “Spiritual Authority” given to every born-again Christian who has faith in God. That is, to believe whatever you say will come to pass, and then to see it happen before your eyes.

Notice, I skipped over the part of verse 23, where Jesus Christ gave the condition if they, “shall not doubt in their heart.” The reason is because, as I taught a couple of weeks ago, by the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross and resurrection from the dead, God has circumcised the hearts of every born-again Christian, and the Holy Ghost has sealed it until the day of redemption.

Remember that God has placed His Laws in our hearts and written them on our minds. Therefore, it is not possible for a born-again Christian to doubt in their heart! The born-again heart of a Christian only believes the promises of God. The only doubting that can take place, is in a Christian’s brain, which interacts with the world and is subject to the attacks of Satan to tempt the Christian with; doubts, false accusations, and fears about God and His Word.

As Christians, we do not pattern our thought-life and speech after the people of this world, whereby they permit their thoughts and speech to be fashioned after man-made social norms, values, and customs (Rom.12:2) Rather, we have God’s transformative thoughts and speech which come from the Word of God and the Holy Ghost, which has been planted in our hearts.

As I mentioned last week, we capture every thought that our experience in the world has to offer that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of God, and immediately bring it into captivity. (II Cor.10:4-5) With every thought that comes to us, there are only two possibilities, “truth or a lie.” With the help of the Word of God and Holy Ghost, we can wisely discern situations, make decisions based in truth, and stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word.

When we speak words from our mouths we expect the mountains in our lives to be removed and cast into the sea. The moment the promise is released from our mouths, by faith in God, we know the mountain is already removed and swallowed up in the sea!

It may take a short or longer period of time to see the physical manifestation of what we have spoken, but rest assured it will come to pass—as it travels from the spiritual realm into the natural realm. Just as when Jesus Christ cursed the fig tree, immediately, it began drying up from the roots in the ground, which were not visible to the human eye, but by the next day the disciples were able to see that the entire tree had dried up and died.

We are to have full confidence and boldness that when we speak to a thing, the thing hears us, and must obey whatever we command it to do in Jesus’ name! All because, as spiritual kings and priests unto God, we said so!

We are the redeemed of the Lord, therefore, all things that we call forth to be changed, must be so ordered and done. (Ps. 107:2) Everything, belongs to us, so if something doesn’t smell right, look right, taste right, sound right, or act-right—speak to the thing, and it will obey you. (I Cor. 3:21)

Right now, God wants me to build you up on this truth: I hear God saying, “Only speak my Word, I will back you up, and bring it to pass.” Let me show you what God’s Word says about yielding your mouth to Him.

Exodus 4:12, God said this to Moses:

Now then go and I even I will be with your mouth
And teach you what you are to say.

I love what God said to Jerimiah, as recorded at Jerimiah 5:14,

Therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of hosts,
because you have spoken this word, Behold, I am
making My words in your mouth fire and this
people wood, and it will consume them.

Watch this. For those who are willing to live by every Word of God, not only will God put His words their mouths, but also in the mouths’ of their generations! (Is. 59:21)

As for Me, this is My covenant with them, saith
the Lord: “My Spirit which is upon thee, and
my words which I have put in your mouth,
shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of
the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth
of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from hence-
forth and forever.

God taught Ezekiel to speak His Word regardless of the receptivity of people. (Ezek. 2:7)

And thou shalt speak my words unto them,
whether they will hear, or whether they will
forbear: for they are most rebellious.

Jesus Christ told His disciples that He would put such speech into their mouths that even their enemies would not be able to stand against it. (Luke 21:15)

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,
which all of your adversaries shall not
be able to gainsay nor resist.

I close this message with these thoughts. As spiritual kings and priests unto God, when we speak the Word of God, we are to have full assurance that the words we speak are true and will come to pass. They are all God-guaranteed!

Further, we have the record—the full proof—that our words are heavy, and full of God-given power because we have the witness of the Holy Ghost in our born-again spirits and have inherited eternal life. (Rom. 8:15-17 & I John 5:11-15)

Finally, if you were attentive in hearing this message today—willing to think about and study what you have heard, by faith, right now, I decree that you are pregnant with the Word of God sown into your heart. You are pregnant with the promises of God. Therefore, more virtue and the knowledge of Christ are coming to you.

Yield your mouth to God, go forth, and speak with confidence what God says, and watch it come to pass. The very Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ, will flow out of your mouth and quicken dead things to life.

From this day forward, let us all make it our life-style to only speak the truth of God’s Word from our mouths. Believe what you say, and you will always have that which you have spoken. And, God will add even more Anointing and knowledge to your life.

Next week, we will learn about a higher dimension of Godly speech that we as spiritual kings and priest unto God have been given to reverse every curse, crooked, and dreaded thing in the earth.

See you next week, should the Lord tarry!
